My sense of aesthetics, Hopper. And maybe because I'm too used to seeing the original Rangers and the original Shinkengers being fine in suit-without-helmet without needing any other type of headgear.

Oh no, I'm not disagreeing with you. I thought it looked stupid as heck. It made them look more ninja-esque which mucks up the whole samurai theme. I'm just saying I thought the acting was just as notable in its poor execution.

looks terrible especially how they make their kanji they are just flailing their arms i love how stupid of name they gave the gedoushu grunts in this series- moogers i mean come on you could have gave them a better name then that and why didnt they reuse the shodo phone insteadof that stupid looking morpher

Actually they did do the strokes. It just didn't match up with the cg kanji as well as Shinkenger did. But they definitely did the correct strokes.
And yes, moogers is a horrible name. It's like monster and boogers.
Also, the morpher is not THAT drastically different from the Shodophone. All it's missing is the brush, and it's also slightly smaller to appear as a more realistic modern day flip phone. I think you're just nitpicking at that, honestly.

The ninja masks during their transformation is out of place, and as everyone's said the kanji looks sloppy here even though they have the right strokes. Red's looks the best out of the 5 with Yellow's looking the worst.

And the American suit actor poses doesn't look too smooth. And notably no one is on their knees bowing to Red as they are all standing.

Its not like Xandred (Doukoku) sounds any better XD neither does labeling Rekka Daizantou "Fire smasher" -_-.

i might just be nitpicking but this is the first time ive seen a sentai ive watched turned into a power rangers series so its kinda of a weird feeling and shinkenger was so good im just afraid of them destroying it

The only thing I really didn't care for were some of the puns said during the battle, but even that is something that will be easy to get over.

Cheesy as hell XD. Some parts were cool, though. I like how they upped the CG for the transformation.

Face it, people, the target audience(kids in America) won't likely know the difference between samurai and ninja. The facemask are just for the cool factor.

Actually I kind of expected them to ditch that. Like the kuroko, people kneeling and bowing to someone doesn't sit well with western culture.

I like their balls. They basically used the fight in ep1 of Shinkenger and just dubbed the voices. No trace of original footage in the fight scene. Just hope Koichi Sakamoto is still the stunts director.
