Still loving the main story stuff. It's nice to see Eiji isn't leaving for understandable reasons and not because he's become an emo Rider. It seems bad that I need to say it that way.
But that moment when he becomes a lone Rider, he comes off as being pretty cool. And then Gotou shows up, and we get a cool partner Riders moment.
I guess it shouldn't be a surprise that without their supporters, OOO and Birth are at a disadvantage against a purple medal Yummy. (I like how Maki carried the ice in a thermos all that way just so he could create it there in front of Ankh)
So... I'm guessing the pointless montage in the middle was a way to get rid of some forms that they never actually work into the story. It's fine I guess, if they just want to show off how the forms look. But comes off as being a complete waste of time.
Finally, I'm glad they brought back that nice Sazer-X kid. I guess this is the first episode where we don't see Long's actor
Medal throwing isn't easy as it seems. Eiji was lost when he was trying to choose Medals against the Yummy. He should have gone full Combo at that point since he didn't know enough information about its abilities. Gotou can easily adapt in mid-battle except he isn't as powerful as Eiji is. Eiji and Gotou heading off together was a cool moment.
What's with Chiyako's bruise on her left eye when she first sees Hina's brother? And when Eiji and Hina sees Hina's brother, Chiyako's bruise is gone.

I wonder what would happen if Hina was the one throwing the Core Medals. Could she do it without turning OOO into a pincushion?
I hope Eiji doesn't do something silly like sleeping in a park. I'm sure he could work out living arrangements with Kougami.
It was weird that Maki's doll had it's tiny umbrella open and then it was suddenly closed after the camera focuses on Eiji for a second.

I think the idea is that maybe Eiji needs to practise using the mix match potential of the random combos? That's me attempting to justify it though. In reality, it's more like 'Hey, remember we can do this and not just combo spam all the time'
I was thinking before that Birth was kinda useless if he needed support, but this made me realise that OOO is in the same boat. Especially with Ankh knowing what medals would be good for which situation, and Eiji didn't have to worry about anything other than catching them.
Eiji playing the lone hero was pretty cool. So was Gotou when he went to help. The only problem I had was with the Lucky Clover syndrome that affected ankh. Suddenly he was stroger then putotyrano, which is stronger than everyone. But that has been a common problem in OOO. Hina is too nice for her own good.

This. I think they didn't think it through all the way when they came up with the concept and therefore, couldn't find a way to work those forms in the story.
Still, it was a little unneeded. Unlike W, I don't think fans have been keeping track of the different forms as closely.
This episode was pretty cool though. I'm surprised that Ankh was strong enough to slap around PuToTyra so easily. Then again, isn't he the closest to being complete with eight of his Core Medals?

SHINGO IZUMI! I was hoping for this for a long time. Neat that he wants to stay involved in the fight. I would love to see him act as Eiji's support.

I liked the montage, but I agree. People were watching W's forms for the finishers, but OOO doesn't really have any significant ones outside of the Combos.
I do believe Ankh's new strength was brought about from the Core and Cell Medals of Hand-Ankh.
Gotou's so cool nowadays. No more cake in the face, boring tracksuit, and Rider equipment that he really knows how to handle.

Haha, amen to that. Not to mention Ankh is still going strong for the moment despite being absorbed. As for Eiji, that was pretty boss for him to go lone rider, and for the sake of protecting Hina and Shingo too. As for the montage of Random Combos, don't see much purpose in showing those but okay. Also nice touch once Gotou agreed to come along and they left to fight together. Still ashamed at how Eiji used ALL those combos, yet had trouble deciding which ones he needed in battle once Ankh left the picture. As for Doctor Maki, looks like he's getting serious in trying to snatch back the Purple Core Medals.

I liked this episode. Good plot development and interesting how the Medals weren't stolen and one was given away. That's our Ankh, thinking one step ahead to avoid major problems. Speaking of problems, if Boku-Ankh said "one" is missing, does that mean that all nine Red Cores are accounted for? Four in Arm and Five in Boku??
One a separate note: the commercials were hilarious! Definitely need to see that Onigamiden movie. Also, it was hilarious that no one mentioned Decade in the "Happy Set" cm. LOL! OOO, W, Ichigo, Den-0 but no one mentioning Decade, who was right beside Ichigo! LOL!!!

At the moment yes, however Kazari has had 8 medals for a while, only recently loosing some, and did not show this sort of power.

No, only the Ancient Medals still have all 10 (ala Eiji and Maki). There are only 9 for Ankh and while Arm-Ankh had 4 he gave one to Hina shortly before he was absorbed.
So I'm kind of suprised at the almost movie level quality of this episode. One would usually see this kind of setup either in the last two or three episodes, its nice.
Next Episode
So Eiji is developing Blade King Syndrome huh? I wonder if they will take a slightly different route with it?

I've noticed that myself. This episode has a "final arc" feel to it. I hope it means that the last...what...7 or 8 episodes are going to be awesome in terms of story.
I hope the show is going to speed things up now, the whole eps was about Eiji moaning about how he couldn't save Ankh.
The whole different medal things seems to be allot of work....changing the suit for all for every one of the combo.
That we will get Ankh back is a given, but what will happen after he gets back is more interesting. Police-san is fully recovered and unless Eiji manages to take enough medals so Ankh gets back more then a arm it would seem that they will have a hard time.

This episode felt pretty short to me, probably because I was expecting more Ankh saving and less scenes with the Detective. (the training and dinner scenes were somewhat unnecessary IMO) Still waiting for Uva's comeback, hope they didn't forget about him. Speaking of Uva, how come he can transfer his mind into his core medal but Ankh can't?
Preview:
It looks like Eiji is following the Kenzaki (from Blade) route.
Commercial:
That Onigamiden movie looks interesting.

As a restaurant manager she should know a thing or two about special make-up technique, right? A bruise is not that hard to conceal if she knows what she's doing (special make-up technique).

Hey, don't forget about some facts that hint that Ankh is not an ordinary Greeed like the others. (1) The other Greeeds' main body color is only one. For example: Uva > Green, Kazari > Yellow, Mezool > Blue, Gamel > Grey, Dr. Maki > Purple/Violet. But Ankh's body has the combination of three colors > Red+Yellow+Green (although his core medal color is simply red). Red+Yellow+Green is the colors of OOO main form, TaToba combo that is. (2) Ankh was the one who was chosen as the King/Past OOO' partner in crime. I don't think that the King/Past OOO just chose him without any good reason. What I'm suggesting is, it's not a surprise at all if a complete Ankh is stronger or at least on par with OOO PuToTyra combo. Ankh and or Dr. Maki are the more suitable villains to be the final boss of OOO series than the other Greeeds, IMO.
...So one of those was from last week, it was that or "king of off."
Silly yamadas reference. Don't you know that for a crappy movie reference to work, it has to be something no one has seen or was made long enough ago that people who get it will actually find it funny in an ironic sort of way? And on a related note, how the hell are Mr. Hand Man's detective man's teeth so clean?
