This was an alright episode. Like last week, I feel like the strong point was the use of guest actors Nadagi Takeshi (Jinno from W) and Eguchi Hiromi (Mio from JustiRiser, and Shion from Red Redemption). It was interesting to see him play a character so polar opposite of the boisterous and silly Jinno. You knew something was not quite right about him, and I guess at the end you find out (Hmm, seems like someone's been playing Heavy Rain).

In the preview, I thought Hiromi was going to be playing a blind lady. But I guess she wears sunglasses to hide the fact that she's been in another Garo thing. Oops! Anyway, her credit at the end is just The Woman In Black, so I guess she doesn't have a canonical name.

The B plot with Kaoru helping out her art friend wasn't too bad either. It's nice when we get to see her interact with people who aren't Kouga, and they do cross paths at the same time the plots do. Even the ending is of her preparing for her day at the job, which is nice.

But still, I'm ready for an episode where we get to see Rei. Considering how episodic this season has been (oh wait, I guess Leo does give Kouga some medicine or something) it seems like they could have put the episode where they introduce Rei here, so that we get to see him and Kouga together in the next episode.

No wonder I found Eguchi Hiromi familiar.

I was expecting Rei to be in this episode since he appeared in the last. On a side note, nice to see the flaming sword again. Pity Tamashii Nations didn't include a flaming effect part for the Figuarts version of Garo. That would have been awesome.

WTF Manhole covers are not that light. They're easily over 100 pounds. Even if that woman is super strong enough (by virtue of being a Horror) to pick up the cover with only one hand, it still shouldn't bounce like that. It doesn't help you can clearly see on the back that it's only a plywood cast. I'm still wondering why they didn't fix up the back so at least it looked like a real cover even if they didn't treat it like one.

I'll be glad to move on to the main plot. Right now it's pretty similar to the first Garo series with the monster of the weeks and the slow plot progression. I guess the thing that annoys me about the new series is that while the out of costume stunts are pretty good, once Kouga turns into Garo, the battle is over in like one slash.

Well, fair enough. It was two episodes ago.

I love every episode of Garo, but this episode was especially freaky because I never really thought that that was what that guy did. Thanks for posting that pic. I never even noticed that, but now I have the Grudge in my head. I think I will be turning all the lights on in my room when I sleep. I wonder what was the purpose of that. I don't think it would be a mistake because they could have made a mistake on other things, but why that? Oh that face is sooooooo creeepy!!!!

I knew I shouldn't have clicked on that picture, but I did it anyway. Ugh. There's a reason I don't watch horror movies/shows.

I can't put my finger on why, but this felt more like the first season than most of the Makai Senki episodes so far. Might have been a combination of Kaoru stumbling across Kouga at work and a Horror design that felt familiar.

I knew I shouldn't have clicked on that picture. That sure is freaky. Anyways, this episode was okay. It's sad to see the ending resolution of Jinno although it is nice to see him act differently compared to what we saw of him in Double/W. I thought that Kouga and Leo finding the manholes were too quick. Talk about going from point A to point B. I liked that Kaouru is still continuing with her art career too which gives me hope for my career as well. Lol...Also, we got boobies in this episode along with a "The Grudge" moment. Nice of them to give us the best of both worlds. Next episode looks intriguing and can't wait for that.
