GCCX 11 released
Kato-chan Ken-chan for PC Engine
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fun_TV_wit ... d_Ken-chan
A segment of their show was adopted into America's Funniest Home Videos.

He had a show called "Ken Shimura no Bakatono-sama" I always thought the bakatono (foolish lord) was something that existed for a while. But maybe this guy came up with it? Anyway, he appears as the bakatono in game.

Someone asked if the million yen UFO Catcher was real. It's not, they're just memo pads:

There was some confusion as to what America Zarigani is. It's a comedy duo (that guest starred on Ryukendo oh so long ago). Zarigani is the Japanese word for "crayfish".

Re: GCCX 11 released
The main game and the Tamagee corner were fun to watch as always, but this episode is worth watching purely for the Petite Corner. I could not stop laughing. It should be interesting to see what kind of help he gets from the telephone campaign.

Man, retro games... I just saw one retro FamiCom going at 480 Phil Pesos (slightly under US$11). Was really tempted to get it, but I know I would hardly play it.

Re: GCCX 11 released
I just love the petite corner in this season. It's a lot of fun to see Arino struggle on to just understand the basics of the game only to call up other people and have them respond "idk have fun with your shit game"
Kato-chan Ken-chan really loves its bodily function jokes doesn't it?

Thank you guys so much for this!
As usual, Arino's enticed by the ero, lol.

So the new corner is getting Arino to play shitty games and hilarity ensued, looking forward to the rest of the season to see how Super Monkey Daibouken turns out.
Defeat the Great Fire-Breathing Monster... use your Ultra Beam and... STRIKE!
Re: GCCX 11 released

Re: GCCX 11 released
He's back! The legendary Arino back for the 3rd season. Good to see Sasano 'The Strategist' is still with the crew. And I wonder if Toujima will ever make a comeback. It's a very good episode + new corner/segment. Can't remember if any of my PCE emulator discs got the Kato-Chan Ken-Chan roms.
Thanks for continue subbing the 3rd seasons. I have a good time with the previous seasons (and surely you guys too). Can't wait to see the progress of the Super Monkey Great Adventure. I wonder what kind of reply Arino will get. It looks like super annoying. Thanks again Tv-Nihon for the great released.

Re: GCCX 11 released
Thank you continuing with Game Center CX. I really like the show!
Re: GCCX 11 released
Thanks a lot.
I love this show and it's great to seen that you still care about it.
Other groups are doing a fine job subbing GC-CX but I prefer your approach of translation which is more literal and doesn't try to localize every joke or reference.

The differences in control between the two characters remind me of how Mario and Luigi are similar in control. I wonder who came up with that idea first.

Re: GCCX 11 released
This is awesome that another episode was released by you guys. Thanks everyone.
And looks like you got beef.
I hope this isn't the start of a turf war.

Just watched the subbed JJ & Jeff/Kato-chan Ken-chan episode. As usual the subs were adequate, but I still caught a lot of mistranslations where it was clear they didn't comprehend or misheard what was was said. The most amusing mistake was around 44:30 when the producer says a staff needs to hurry (to catch the last train) because he lives in Mount Takao, but TV-Nihon mistook the "san" (mountain) in Takaosan as the honorific "san" (Mr.), and they translated it as "Takao-san needs to go home!" Originally, Arino is surprised to hear a staff member lives so far away, but in the subbed version he's like "Takao-san?!" as though he's surprised to hear Mr. Takao needs to go home.
