Go-Busters 29 released
So I was a bit fooled by the preview. I thought they were going to spend most of the episode in the subdimension, but in actuality they spend most of the time prepping.
Which is fine, actually. The showdown at the base with Enter and Escape was pretty good. Escape even remembered her previous battle with Blue Buster. Normally, little details like that are forgotten or dismissed.
I still feel like Jin not talking about the subdimension is more for "it has to be revealed in future episode" reasons than "I have a good reason to not tell you guys about this place." I'm sure it's a hard problem to balance as a writer.
I like the salute and sendoff from the Command Center crew. While their shooting is about as useless as the grunts on the bad guy series, it's still nice to see them symbolically join the battle. I was kind of hoping that Kuroki would get shot, and the Busters wouldn't know whether or not he's okay until they returned from the subdimension. But I guess Enter didn't have time to do any permanent damage before retreating. I mean, that's okay, it's just the Go-Busters base. He can always come back and attack next time.
I'm a bit bothered that they weren't suffering when they entered the real subdimension. This was prior to activating the override too.
So... Messiah has a triangle for a head. I'm sure I've seen a skull on a triangle before as a logo, but isn't the Vaglass symbol a heart?

To say nothing of Hiromu's pretty poor shooting a few minutes earlier. Admittedly, he was running, so I guess I can give him the benefit of the doubt. While their shooting is about as useless as the grunts on the bad guy series
Agreed about the subdimension bit. And how long is the overdrive supposed to last anyway?

Re: Go-Busters 29 released
If you're talking about when he was shooting at Enter, Hiromu was aiming at the car on purpose. The explosion gave him cover to use his teleport move and get close to Enter.

Re: Go-Busters 29 released
That explains the shots that hit the car and caused the explosion, but slightly less the shots that went wide on either side of Enter's head at first. Probably still diversionary, but still something I noticed.

Re: Go-Busters 29 released
This was a really good episode. Even though they didn't immediately rush into the subdimension, I still enjoyed the preparation battle.
I also liked the Go-Buster's support team's salute. It gives a sense that the entire crew is supporting them with their spirits, which I found honorable.
Also, the way the preview is set up, it kinda gives the impression that Go-Busters is ending soon, although I'm sure Toei will have Go-Busters last as long as a normal Sentai series should, or otherwise the new OP would be wasted on a limited amount of episodes.

Re: Go-Busters 29 released
It is always nice to see an episode that veers away from the standard structure.
I'm surprised that Enter wore a different outfit to attack the hangar. I guess he is fond of wearing the right clothes for the occasion.
I liked how Escape casually swatted away the shots fired by Kuroki's group. Having Enter reprimand her for lack of focus was a nice touch.
You can tell playtime is over because Messiah and his new cronies have eyes that light up in the dark.

Re: Go-Busters 29 released
Ok I'm pretty calm now when it comes to the new opening. Hearing it a second time, it's ok. Not good, great or bad. Just OK. Still prefer the original though.
As for the episode itself, F*CKING AWESOME! I actually liked that they spent most ofthe episode prepping, It really gives a feel of a actual military operation.
Enter and Escape's 'Battle suits' as I like to call 'em are pretty cool, but what's up with Enter's hair? Looks like he stuck his finger in a electrical socket.
Escape is hot. And nope I'm never gonna stop saying that each time she's in a episode. I actually forgot to mention it last episode.
I thought the battle in the hanger with the staff and mechanics was a nice touch. Sure they may not fire for crap, but they are mechanics and computer specialists, not security guards. Speaking of which, WHERE was security? Was that blast door the only means of trying to stop Escape? Maybe she DID fight security but off screen. Who knows.
I actually forgot that Nick had machine gun arms.
I like how they were pretty much in no mood to fight off the enemy megazords and just cut their way past them.
Messiah's new body is actually pretty wicked looking all things considered.

Re: Go-Busters 29 released
it's good to see that the shake-up hasn't affected the power rangers references...
I kinda expected Kurorin to be shot, too. It would have been a great twist. But i can't complain.
Enter was awesome this episode. I mean, we already knew Enter was very strong. But here he actually defeated Hiromu. I mean, Hiromu didn't do something to change the battle at the last minute, Enter actually crushed him. The only reason hiromu escaped was because of Nick. But hiromu really was in danger this episode.
When messiah summoned those metaroids, my first tought was "Go-buster pulled an "elite commander" to replace Enter and Escape". But then i realized those were old MOTW.
Messiah looks awesome. And he finally takes picture.
Also, i don't think this is a "i have a good reason to not tell you" as it is more having to show them because otherwise they wouldn't believe him.

for those not getting it, Venjix getting a body and the rangers going to the enemie's territory in RPM was similar to this episode

Enter's suit is great, but Escape's......meh. Why that 1 is used? The regular is more sexy.....
What happened to the crew guy who screwed Ace's maintenance? I don't see him participating. Got fired? Guess they forgot the little details there.
Good salute by the whole crew, but wait, didn't the staff and crew used to have the EMC's special salute? Don't tell me that got retooled too.
Guess they completed Jin's Override System but I don't remember any part of it mentioning the system will turn the subdimension's sky to clear sky....

Re: Go-Busters 29 released
Nick, you had machineguns!
Messiah body looks cool. Let's hope having a body will make him a more interesting villain.
Enter and Escape should've just stayed and destroyed the base while the busters were in their realm, though they need to protect Messiah too.
I knew the engineers were the folks at the base.
Enter and Escape were awesome again. I like how Enter tried to do everything efficiently and just tried to kill Hiromu, since he's the main pilot. And LOL @ the sakujou kanryou.
And I guess megazords without metaroids are considerably weaker. But then again it could've been willpower, because, as Akiba taught us, there is no power level consistency.

Will they really kill messiah next ep? If so, who'll be the new villain? I just hope they keep Enter and Escape.

Enter can be quite dangerous when he gets serious. I always thought he wasn't as good as Escape, but I reckon he could mess the Busters up if he tried.
And Nick with machine guns. Mean.

Re: Go-Busters 29 released
Very good episode, although I agree the commander being shot by Enter would have been a good finishing touch. Escape's indifference is great, and I can't wait to see where that plays out in the future. Considering her obsession with fighting the strong, and the fact she hasn't fought J or Youko yet, it would be great if it ended up being one of them that eventually destroys her.
Spoiler
I'm predicting a more Enter-centered villainy in the future. Enter keeps hinting that he has something up his sleeve beyond Messiah's plans. It could be that his being so obedient to Messiah has just been a means to an end, similar to how Brajira used other villains to achieve his ends in Goseiger.

Re: Go-Busters 29 released
A pretty good episode. still ok with the theme. don't love it, but it doesn't offend me.
kind of ok with Enter and Escape's new outfits, but not really seeing the point.
Maybe I'm just forgetting, but I don't think I saw Messaiah in the new opening. between that and the new body, methinks messaiah may not be long for this world.
or I just forgot I saw him, and he'll be around till february.

Re: Go-Busters 29 released
I have to say I'm a bit disappointed that the Go-Busters made it into the subdimension. So far Enter has been a highly capable villain (something Sentai generally lacks), which has paid off with some very nice story arcs. I really wanted to see Enter win one more time, because obviously they can't keep having him win as the series ultimately reaches its end.
On the other hand the battle in front of and in the hangar was very good, so Go-Busters definitely met its action quota and then some. Though Enter needs a better battle-suit; Lunchboxx's quip about the electrical socket incident is spot on.
Also, the Creators are the research center staff? That makes perfect sense, though I think the whole Creators concept could have been handled better since it was made so obvious so early.

Re: Go-Busters 29 released
I love this episode.
Still thinking about the new OP whether I like it or not but it still ok
I love Enter new Outfit, but Escape.... I like her original one. She make it more convincable
I like it when Escape gets on top on Blue Buster and just says those line. "Shall we finish what we started?" Just give me chills.
I like Escape new hair do. It make him look like a maniac, espacially the way he handle Red Buster. Smart and Crazy lol.
I like Messiah new Body, I wonder if Messiah is going to do more than just sit around and talk in the future.
