For me, I obviously like all three types. I obviously love Rider stuff the best. I like the stuff that's not Rider or Sentai second best, because I like seeing what else can be brought to the table. Like Garo, RyuKenDo, the Rescue Hero series, it's nice to see the formula shaken up a bit.

I like Sentai too, but in the way I enjoy a nice vanilla ice cream. It'll always be there, and I enjoy it because I know what to expect.

I guess that's why I'm also secretly always most disappointed with Rider stories. When they try to do something amazing and then they don't have the right stuff to pull it off, it falls flat and fails more than with Sentai. That's just my personal opinion though.

i love toku shows, i can't get enough of them so i watch both the biggies and anything else you guys sub. i don't mind anime if its good, i'll try it and decide if i'll watch it but dramas are kind of hit and miss. i tried sexy voice and robo and i couldn't get into it.

I like the variety pack. Garo for the mature stuff. Sentai for the team of heroes. Kamen for the Hero plus non-hero friends. Akiba for the metatextual goodness. With all the great tastes, how could I not love them all. Though I will admit KR is the only one I am also ingesting the entire available back catalogue of (only Kuuga, Agito, and Hibiki to go!).






PS. I have a personal goal of eventually making it through Hibiki, no matter what anyone says I think it deserves a fair shot.

I mainly watch Just the main two. I did finally watch Rescue Force/Fire and Ryukendo. But that's it. The other ones I don't want to start. Too many shows to watch. Ultraman, whenever one is complete. That reminds me to buy Ultra Seven on DVD.

Tokusatsu is too good to enjoy only one variety. But, the only ones I've really watched outside of Super Hero Time are Ryukendo and B-Fighter. I've been thinking of going into Garo.

I personally tend to just watch kamen rider and sentai but if I find something that catches my attention like gavan did I'll watch that too.

I'm a fan of all forms of Japanese TV, movies, etc. That's one of the reasons why I respect TV Nihon's work. You guys are the only English language group I know of that subs anime, tokusatsu, and Japanese dramas. Most groups focus on one or two of those.

I usually focus on the SHT duo but... if something besides those seems interesting enough, I usually go and check that out.

I originally looked TV-N for Sentai but then I got interested in the Rider shows and now I prefer the Riders to the Sentai. The Rider shows I like because they only have the one hero with a sidekick hero that isn't quite as powerful but he doesn't know he's the sidekick. I have looked into some of the other dramas that y'all have done but the only ones that I have liked so far has been Shibuya15 and Garo.

The main toku that I watch are Rider, Sentai, and the Ultra series, but I also like Garo.
I've also watched the three Chou Sei Shin series, and would like to watch the Metal Heroes series and possibly the Tomica Heroes series.

Don't know about anime, but about all the tokusatsu - i really like it. The truth is, I also like anime ideas and plots within specific series, but I personally prefer actor-played movie over a drawn cartoon. It's just a matter of personal taste, it's not that I dislike japanese anime drawing style. As an example, I can bring "Ranma 1/2" and "Rurouni Kenshin" - after watching Lives, I can say I prefer films over manga/anime.
So when it comes to watching any newly discovered toku, I'm almost always in.
The funny fact is, I stumbled upon "Kamen Rider Dragon Knight" really accidentally, when searching for "Knight Rider" torrents over the internet - it was around 5 years ago. Soon after that, I watched "Kamen Rider Hibiki", and that was a point where I realized I actually like tokusatsu more than American Super-Heroes movies, like "Spiderman", "Dark Knight", and so on.
And 2 months from that point I found my way to this forum and tracker.

I went with "Kamen Rider & other Toku".

I've been watching all the Kamen Rider shows from Decade on up. While I've expected to not like some of the KR shows since Decade I've really enjoyed it all very much.

As for Sentai, while I started with Shinkenger, there's been a couple along the way I haven't really gotten into and ended up not going beyond a few episodes.

And I've checked out other stuff as well. Some Garo. The Space Sheriff Gavan movie.
