Kind of a disappointing episode for me this week. Leo and Sela both seem pretty interesting, but our look into their personalities was pretty superficial.

I get that Mario's there to be comic relief, but the sock bit didn't work for me. For some reason, the way they pulled it off seemed really clumsy and predictable.

A gorilla Jyuman? Maybe he should be JyuohHuman.

I was not expecting Kirin to slurp up the net like a spaghetti noodle.

The episode’s plot was pretty straightforward, but it felt like its real purpose was to lay groundwork for future episodes. Not only did they set up an inevitable rematch between Leo and Sela, but I can also see them having an instance where Leo doesn’t feel like he can fight a DeathGalien because they’re a woman. The only female we’ve seen with the villains so far has been the coin queen Naria, but that can always change or she might get more hands-on at some point.

The jaw attack was just as neat as the rainbow claw. I wonder if that’s something unique to Sela and Leo, since the teeth were blue and yellow, or if the CGI will change depending on who is attacking (or how many).

I guess that part is interesting. Your rights as an individual only extend until they but up against another individual's. Sela wants Leo to take her seriously and feels insulted that he goes easy on her. <Removed because I interpreted a line wrong.> I like that Junko is bringing a feminist topic to the table, since I doubt a male writer would approach the subject (or would solve it in an old fashioned notion).

Wow, an episode dealing with how boys perceive girls that isn't heavy handed! I think the staff at Toei is getting better with their portrayals of all characters, and this year is looking to be a good one character-wise.

God those nets are so cheap. Sometimes the actors start reacting to the shocks before they put in the effect.

The battle between Leo and Sela (in animal forms) is quite impressive.

Another good episode for me. Not strong, but it was still fun. The whole Blood Game thing is sadistic. These guys are really having a ball coming up with various way to cause destruction for the sake of entertainment. Yamato whip sword snatching the cubes was pretty nice. Tusk putting his sniffing ability to use is good, even if it's not his episode. So far everyone in the team has been pretty useful in some way. Which is great. Leo and Sela ship is in place. Amu and Yamato ship is about to sail. Tusk has no one to ship with.

Another good episode. One thing that they could stop doing now is explaining the continue coins. After four episodes i think the audience gets the idea.

so 1 could say 1 general is senseless slaughter and the other more into mind games.

the fact they have a back story that sets them a part from each other rather than fortifying a bond is a nice touch i think. also, it sort of implies they arent just randoms, but at least they, Leo and Sela, are fighters first and not just learning to fight now as sentai members. the custom fights were nice yes. actually im curious about those jaws too, and what other possibles could come from other combos.

so glad he used eagle vision while flying, mostly because the flying impresses me.

is kirin another word for giriaffe?

Jyuohger has been has been really, really good! The writers for this season really get what makes a sentai work. I really hope it's a big success.

Well, actually this is the first episode I actually liked.
I really liked Sela's face of anger, and I like Leo's personality, i think he is what Takaharu should have been. and yes, It would be nice to see some romantic interest between them.
