Maybe it takes a lot of willpower to actually make whatever you think up appear, or you make things that reflect your personality in a way. So Kuon gets a fancy sword to protect people, and people who like to get close to people to kill them get various melee weapons.

Maybe someone will get a gun in a later episode, or better yet... bring back gun-dog from that one movie. XD

I was thinking the same thing, but then I suppose it would only have the one magazine with bullets, so when you run out you'd be fucked.

I like the premise of this challenge better than the last. It's just tough to actually get any of the episode in when they have to focus on new characters and focus on the old ones at the same time.

This gets a 3 from me. The pace is way too slow for a 12 episode show. It looks way too low budget even more low budget than Jinga.

This one had potential but needed more budget and episodes for sure. The actors are doing the best they can for sure.

I'm usually all for slow pacing and worldbuilding, but for a 12-episode show it's a little rough. I hope they have everything plotted out and we won't be racing to fit everything in at the end... Otherwise scenes that take several long seconds to play out when they should otherwise be quite fast (people being teleported from the briefing room to the dungeon took foooorever!) will not age well.

The episode itself was alright, for a starting one. We established some character for the model and streamer, checked in on our previous buddies, and started round two. Nothing really noteworthy happened.

Still no failure state, even though everyone is talking around it. "The game feels so real", "it's only a game bro", "if you log out you can never come back", etc. Are people penalized irl or not? C'mon. Right now there's no downside to being a complete PK asshole in-game - in fact it might be the smartest move.

Yeah, this was definitely the weakest episode by far. It would have been better if each item gave them a random garo-esque weapon, which I thought was going to happen from the previews last week. Oh well. I'm still interested to see what happens next. Definitely a slow and weak episode. Thanks, takenoko for putting the chat together. :-)

Idk, from me it gets 5 points just for Kuon acting the hero. Sorry, I'm just a sucker for that kind of stuff.

You're not the only one who thought of this. But perhaps there are some rules that we can't see. Perhaps a gun is just a difficult thing to imagine. You'd have to also imagine the ignition mechanism and the bullets. Maybe you'd have to imagine the inside of the barrel, not to mention the exact length of said barrel. If you want it to be infinity bullets, you'd also have to imagine some kind of device that generates them.

By contrast, it's easy enough to imagine a generic sharp or blunt object.
