Alt Title: So this isn't a Sayo-focus ep???

Kind of surprised they brought back Oladdin already. Kind of cool though, since it's been long hinted that he has a connection to Jyuuru. Gotta love how the plot got rid of the four Kiramagers by just having them go into the doors without seeing what happened. At least send one first to see if it's dangerous!

Notes:

Wait, King Oladdin has a miracle stone that cures anything (let's ignore the part where he imagined it all and it became reality). Did he try using that on his wife when she was cursed???

Jyuuru, do you hear yourself? If that was just a dream, how are you holding the damn key in reality???

Oladdin is encased in carbonite?

is DekaMaster Stone really so big he can carry around the other stones? Is he a carrier?

I like how the first thing we see in Atamald is a Ferris wheel... Toei sure has been striking out on making interesting parallel worlds lately

If the King's a phoenix, what's DekaMaster stone's alt form supposed to be?

Wish Sayo's song were better. But her character's still one of the best on the show so kekka alright! (But seriously, you owe us a Sayo focus episode)

The file size of this episode's Jamenju is too big. I had to bring the file into Photoshop and saved it again, so the file size can be smaller.

I just love after coming back to life, the King just pisses off again. Granted, it probably has something to do with what Garza left to do, but the fact that he doesn't say anything to Takamichi was hilarious.

Liking the look of the new mecha as well.

Aren't Kiramei stones alive with their own personality and consciousness? Seems kind of cruel to just keep it in a human being for 25 years (or however long it's been)

My only nitpick about this episode is how the other Kiramagers were separated from Jyuuru. It feels like it was place there for the sake of creating a sense of urgency for them but doing it was actually unnecessary. All of them could have just stayed outside while thinking of a plan instead of blindly entering a door.

I find it odd that both the King and Queen have been revived in the exact same episode it was revealed they were alive. Like, I'd expect a few episodes of them trying to revive them. Makes me wonder if that had to be cut as part of cutting the show down after the filming hiatus.

I like the very subtle fact that Sayo was the only one who was seen together with her alternate version in the same frame clearly

We've had two Sayo-focused episodes. The one where she hit her head on a rock and lost her memories (the only episode of Kiramager I haven't liked), and the one where she formed a band to help that sick boy. Also she was heavily featured in Takamichi's debut episode, which was probably why we didn't get a specific episode of him bonding with her.

Anyhow, this episode was amazing as usual. It was a really good slightly-more-epic-than-usual adventure which was fitting for the debut of a new mecha. A jet and a phoenix come together to form an expectedly shiny and regal-looking robot. The fight itself isn't particularly special or anything, but the context made it felt suitably grand and big.

Plus Sayo is such a strong character that when she shows up in other character's character-focus episodes it's still a pretty good time. Still wish she got a personal focus-episode that was better than what she's gotten so far

The difference in power between the two shows is so great that I have given up on the other one. Their pacing is making my head hurt. If Kiramager was paced the same way we would have been at this current place in the plot by episode 7. Now, if they only had had a music festival ...

I wonder if the King left because he was feeling hungry so we was going to cut down to a smaller size and hunt rats?
