That's my big question. I'm really not feeling this show. The lack of transforming face heroes takes a lot of the fun out of it.

I read in one of my tokusatsu groups that the reason for this shift is because of the unknown virus of unknown origin and Toei is trying to keep the amount of unmasked members down.

Not sure how I feel about this change.

Tokkyuuger had 5 reds technically and we all know I'm talking about Ichigou when I say Red so don't split hairs

Hence the "face hero" qualification. I'm purposely excluding suited characters, because they're not actual people.

The problem with this theory is that they've successfully filmed 6+ months of Kiramager without issue. It's hard to buy the idea that they need a bunch of suited characters for safety reasons after things have gone so well.

In fairness, we haven't seen the supporting cast yet. But even Kamen Rider hasn't made their hero go solo in ages.

I totally agree! Kiramager did just fine, great for that matter. Sure, Rio got infected, but that's probably because he is really young. Apart from that, I don't think it should've been a problem if they had at least 3 face heroes in Zenkaiger. At least have constant human forms like the Jyuohmans!! Anything other than this.

They're not similar to me. I don't like some of their civilian(untransformed) forms. Really, what a downer after a season like Kiramager..... I don't know what I dislike more, Kiramger having the second least number of episodes of all time, and also fewer movies and specials. Or Zenkaiger being.... like this(whatever "this" is). Probably the first one, but still.... Sad and disappointed.

Besides the dopey ears from the lead, I'm willing to give the show a shot. I know change is scary and all but you guys know that Toei isn't going to wimp out of an anniversary season. I'm not going to write it off because of the "necessary" changes. Also it's only a teaser. Freak out once episode 1 is out if it still gives you bad vibes.
