Kamen Rider and Sentai Stats

Viewership from Kuuga to Kiva

I like the Pokemon thing the guy did

Sentai hero ages

I think the guy made a mistake with GoGoV, since the red number is larger than the black number.

So if you want to be in Sentai, be sure to be 24, that seems to be the magic number (or younger, if trends continue)

It is interesting to see how a show is popular while it is on air. If I got it correctly, Den-o, for example, started well then it dropped all the way to the end.

It is interesting to see how closely the two curves follow each other. This suggests that the development is conditioned more by "other" factors and less by the "quality" of each show (since there is no good reason to assume that the yearly "quality" of Sentai and Kamen Rider series should follow each other this closely).

Can't believe Geki's ratings took such a hit, especially towards the end. I hope this doesn't make them favour sentai with less plot arcs or developed villains.

However, I'm curious, what's the percentage of? Is it percentage of viewers in total? This might just represent shifts in demographic since the 90s, after all, Japan's population is getting older thanks to poor birth rates. I'd like to see something that shows the actual number of viewers.

I'm guessing that they don't use viewers as the primary method of measuring popularity, since Den-O is pretty damn popular (three movies, right?) even if the ratings weren't very good. Maybe it all comes down to merchandise.

Interesting enough is that lower ratings are when pokemon are at the same time slot.

If I read the age graph properly, then the MagiRangers' ages ranged from 17-18. That's 5 births in 2 years. Miyuki must've been shattered after all that.

Or is that the age of the Red hero at the start and the end of the series?

It's interesting to see every sentai had a rise in viewers leading into the new series except for boukenger (which I thought wasn't as good as MagiRanger anyway), and Hibiki managing to hold it's viewers to the end of the show.

Nice to see this anyway. Wonder what some western shows are like? Lost for example.

At any rate, in-universe they are further apart than that. I think the first episode told the ages of all the siblings.

On a side note: I am 24! oh my fucking god, I need to go to Japan and secure my role in next year's Sentai ASAP!
