Taitei no Ken

Post by XIII »

So I came across this cool movie sitting on me hdd that I had forgotten about since it was released well over a year ago now, and I'm kinda surprised no one has started a thread up about this,

Any way, Taitei no Ken is set in the feudal era, the story line resolves around this mysterious metal called orichalcum and two battles, one between two feuding houses and the other by two alien races, they all seek to control the 3 sacred treasures that are said to give you god like powers

I've been enjoying this trip down the movie road, tis a good movie and is quite funny in parts, Genkurou is amusing, the way sauske first greets him is funny, and they mimiced by others, but I'm not gonna spoil for you all,

and one final thing my way of remembering it when i first started it up again

I really liked this movie. Suren more things need giant magical swords, smelly heroes, and goofy narration.

Spoiler
Genkurou's skin decidedly lightened with age...:?

Also, in soviet Japan, bear acts dead near YOU!

We had topics about this on the old forums, but as it was a one shot they don't always get bright over, but yes, Taite no Ken was an awesome movie. I think of the movie one shots I did with Take, this is probably only my second favorite (It's really hard to top the first Dororo movie) but it really was great. I had a lot of fun on it, and I loved who whole over-the-top-ness of the narrator (which sort of plays out with the ridiculously over-the-top font I had for him)

I watched it today. It was rather very slapstick humour instead of what I'd thought. :p
