Why are you talking about episode 30 in the episode 28 thread? Two week ban.

eiji looks bad ass when he was fighting the cops/grunts...

the arc itself was a good intermission from the dark main plot... epic shocker-rider pose at the ending... never thought that i could happen

Both of them were on some Kamen Rider episode/move one way or another.
Only one of the two girls from ep. 27 was in Ryuki (She played Megumi), the other girl from that ep. was some gravure model, iirc.
From what I've read, the only reason they put them on [...] the Kanji for 1000 is in their names..
Here you go. :d

I think I'm a bit annoyed with the random girl cameos because they had 1000 as part of their name. I would prefer not to have them in it at all if that was the case. That was a bit of disservice for the fans to have cameos just to continue the overuse of 1000 in the episode. It should have been either overdoing or subtle but not both.

Yeah, he cleans up well. I also liked the gauzy shots of Hina walking toward him and tossing the umbrella. It really made me want to go watch some Faiz or Blade or something a little darker and tragic.

People who complain about the the guest stars seem to forget who the target audience is. For a japanese person, it is very fun to see random celebrities pop up in a superhero show.

Someone asked who all the "yummy grunts" were. Here is a full list:

Shocker Combatmen - Kamen Rider
Destron Combatmen - Kamen Rider V3
Jin Fighters - Kamen Rider Super-1 (only 1)
Chaps - Kamen Rider Black RX
Ninja Makamou - Kamen Rider Hibiki (only 1)
Worms - Kamen Rider Kabuto
Leo Soldiers - Kamen Rider Den-O
Masquerade Dopants - Kamen Rider Double

The mentioning of 1000 reminds me of Aqua Teen Hungerforces's 100th episode...

I have not heard that before. But I don't think it's fun to see a guest star and not know who the person is because they were only in there because they had 1000 as part of their name. If I want random celebrities, I watch some game show or some other show that encompass the Japanese celebrity spectrum.

Totally agreed with Phoenix's statement. If they wanted to use cameos', they shoulda used stars from past rider series. THEN it would be more understandable for rider fans :D

I cannot help but to think of a saying I herd in a show once with all the complaining about 1,000 in their names. That saying was "Japanese love their puns." It is true, if you watch a lot of drama's they can't help but to slip them in sometimes. Granted the raw definition of pun is to make a joke exploiting the different possible meanings of a word.

I didn't care about these specials when I saw the previews, and waited until they jumped back on the plot 2 weeks later. I REALLY regret that now.

These episodes were just the funniest I've ever seen in Kamen Rider, so I'm glad I gave them a chance to be watched.

I've seen a lot of complaints posted... I thought this episode was a very fun fourth wall breaking way to laugh at the general silliness of Kamen Rider. What it really did was make me want the 40th anniversary movie more. Now I have to wait patiently for that.
