KR Saber Spin-Off: Blades released

Title: AKA Episode 15.5

I have to admit I like this one. Obligatory, shoulda been in the episodes, etc. But yeah, this really should have been in the episodes. Like some good Blades and Mei character scenes and character-building here

Luckily it kind of works as a way for Rintarou to react to Kento's death. Kaneko Kaori is doing a pretty good job writing these spin-offs. Can she do a main episode next?

No really, this should have been in the episode proper. This is great, giving us characterization and backstory and letting the story breathe a bit. We need more slow moments in Saber, it's too full of bam bam bam action revelation etc that everything just loses its impact.

Kaneko Kaori did a bunch of LVSP episodes, she's quite a good writer. What are they doing shoving her off into extras?

Maybe cause she's a lady

The interesting thing is that you can tell which part of this episode is just from the original episode it was cut from. They film new stuff for this that's immediately different in tone, lighting, etc. and it sticks out like a sore thumb

Seriously, why did they think cutting the characterization out of a story was a good idea? What did they replace this with instead?

How did this manage to pack in more genuine character and story development than the last three episodes combined? @_@ I seriously don't get what the directors/producers are thinking, making all the mainline episodes feel rushed and slap-dash and pushing this stuff off to side-content.

Most likely due to skewed priorities.

This was good. Rintarou's relationship with Kento and Mei with can be seen in a nice way here. I think Rintarou is the only character I like in KR Saber.... His character had more story and development than the rest.
Also, why are Mei and Rinatarou frequently in the same scenes or why are they so close? Even the thing with Mei being Rintarou's personal cheerleader in epsiode 15 was very weird. Am I taking it the wrong way or are they trying to ship these 2? Yeah, I'm reading it wrong. Not enough experience with KR seasons yet.

To be fair, this is so far the most out there Kamen Rider installment in the mainline series.
