There's a mistake. The Japanese version DOES allow English subs. I have a digital download from the Japanese Playstation Store and it plays in English no problem.
Seen:
Super Sentai: Fiveman onwards
Kamen Rider: Ichigou-Skyrider, all the Heisei/Reiwa series except the American shows.
Precure: DokiDoki-Go Pri
Metal Heroes: Gavan
Other: Spiderman, Power Rangers

I have a Nintendo Switch and live in the US. Can I download this from the Nintendo eShop, or do I have to import it?

Oh, appreciate the correction. Are there Japanese subtitles too or is it English subtitles only? Edit: Damn, I could have bought the premium sound edition...

I don't know how the Nintendo eShop works. With PSN, you'd need a Japanese account to access the Japanese PSN store.

Edit: https://switcher.gg/s/guides/is-the-swi ... on-locked/

Looks like you can buy it if you just switch your Switch's region, which seems easier than the PSN way. Kinda cool of Nintendo

Japanese subs too.

With Climax Scramble on the Switch, the physical copies were identical worldwide. Even if you bought an "English" copy, it was just the Japanese game card inside the box, the game just detected the language on your Switch. I would imagine it's the same thing here, where even if you buy the "English" copy, it'll be a Japanese disk inside.

Huh. How did people even figure that out

Just to check, the Japanese subs for the PS4 version is something that's set in the options? If it's not, then I'm not sure how to get to them with the SE Asian copy

I think most Switch games are like that? I've been able to switch between languages no problem using the same physical (or digital) copy of the game. Granted all of the ones I've played are pretty big titles...

Correct, that's how it works.

I figured it out because my Climax Scramble game card has the Japanese logo on it and the product code is identical to a Japanese copy.

Regarding the 3 main riders, there are.......
Spoiler
There are more than 3 riders.

There are 3 other secondary riders as well. In addition, there is a rider and a form that you unlock after the main game.
Latoratah is my favourite form in this game due to cheeeese.

I switched the region on my Switch to Japan, and I still can't find Memory of Heroez on my eShop.

Hmmm, sorry. I don't really have any experience with the Japanese Nintenedo eShop. Howling, do you know?

Wrote my review for the game. It was fun interacting with people. If anyone has any ideas on what we could do for future streams, just let me know

I've never used the Japanese eShop sadly, never had any need to.

Incidentally, my Japanese PSN account has 2 factor authentication on it and it's linked to my old phone. Which means I should probably contact Sony support before next week if I want to be able to log in to that account on my PS5 when it releases next week.

So which version should I order on play-asia? The Japanese version or the Southeast Asian version?

Get it away from Bandai Namco, who only seem interested in doing a cheap tie-in game. Honestly this is probably as good as you're going to get if you want a decent story out of Rider. At least they're taking some cues from better action games for the mechanics
