Out of curiosity, I'm still behind at the time of writing thing, but it's bugging me so I gotta ask: Has anyone else wondered what would've happened to Zenkaiser's teammates if they were human? Specifically when they flipped the gear over to change into the mech? The only thing I can picture is similar to what happened to the Kamen Riders in Decade. Painfully transform. A part of me kind of feels [or hopes] the extra ranger will be human, to kind of play off that dynamic maybe?

I'd say by now they have the formula down, it's all refreshingly energetic and outrageous without leaning too heavily into the absurd. If they can keep this going for the whole season despite all the set-backs of the pandemic, this might be one of their most impressive seasons yet. I think the last time I enjoyed a Sentai season this much was Kyoryuger, and that one has been at the top of my favorites for a long time now.

Sometimes I feel like this series is going to give me ADHD. Everything moves so quickly; we go 5 seconds and then something else that's literally flashy happens. Which is a shame, because this episode had some decent action going on, which would be a lot easier to enjoy if it wasn't moving at Warp 10.

On the plus side, we're finally back to filming in places with people again. For as close as the actors are, you wouldn't even think there's a pandemic going on. Episodes like this make me question the notion that Zenkaiger cut back on the number of face actors for COVID reasons, but I digress...

I... it's been so long since I watched Mystic Force [never seen Magiranger] that I forgot that was a thing. I'll buy it.
