Shoutfactory is beginning to annoy me with their quantity over quality business model. It feels like they grab a bunch of licenses, put out a bunch of stuff, but without much care put into the things they release. They rarely put out Blu-ray versions of things. And when they do, they do a half ass job with it.

Like I've been waiting forever for them to put out The Good Place on Blu-ray. It's out on DVD... but when they did, I found out they didn't include some of the extended version of the episodes, the Net mini series is missing, and that some of the cuts are shorter than the ones released on the UK Blu-ray

Oh wow, that's sad to hear for those who have been watching Sentai on the internet for years. It's a lazy effort that they focus the release only on the regular episodes and the movies.

How many want to demand a refund if they buy a full set that doesn't include the Net Movies, Director's Cut, and Specials?

If that really is a deal breaker, you'd still find a way to get the version you want without having to buy them.

Nothing that's on the internet is never really gone.

Does shout factory include movies and stuff? What series do they have licensed again?

It might owe to a difference between Toei and Tsuburaya because Mill Creek has been releasing a bunch of the movies along with their Ultraman sets. Toei might have a difference in licensing factors for them.

Shout factory has licenses from Jetman all the way to Hurricaneger. Movies, maybe depends on whether the DaiRanger movie is on the list?!

At least you get stuff at all. Manga UK, the company that has Power Rangers in the UK, is doing an awful job. They've only released Samurai onwards and MMPR. Nothing in between. NS-JF are only available on the old, terrible Disney DVDs. RPM has no full release here. Zeo-Space are only available on the German sets. LG-WF there is no way to get them on Region 2 DVD in English.

Manga are terrible at finishing stuff. They released the first 52 episodes of the Pokémon anime and nothing else.
Seen:
Super Sentai: Fiveman onwards
Kamen Rider: Ichigou-Skyrider, all the Heisei/Reiwa series except the American shows.
Precure: DokiDoki-Go Pri
Metal Heroes: Gavan
Other: Spiderman, Power Rangers

I thought shout factory lost their licence with Toei (according to ranger wiki) cause of power rangers being owned by Hasbro or some nonsense, as for shoutfactory one way I've heard it put is, TV-Nihion does literal translations of the episodes where shout factory do adaptive translations to make it easier for the western audiance to understand for instance TV-N puts down "oni-chan!" where shoutfactory puts down "Matoi!" for a general audiance that isn't really into this type of program it may be a way to hook them on but the main points of the translations still make sense to the western world but still hold onto the orignal intent of the writer which i can understand, what about the sentai dvds that are on amazon (non shout factory) would they come with eng subs?

Non-shout factory are either bootleg (possibly with shitty subs or just straight up stolen fansubs) or region 2 Japan DVDs which have no subs

You have to be careful of where you buy them too. The DVD shop in Japantown sells straight up bootlegs to people, so it may look official but it's not
