*looks at own's sketch of Clubs Honey Hayami*
:'(
xD Yeah, awesome style. Do you mainly work with vectors or do you use the tablet as well?

Re: Cutie Honey fanart
I usually work with a tablet for coloring, and sometimes I use Photoshop's Pen Tool to ink pictures, but I bought pens so now I do most of my inking by hand (the Aya pic was inked by hand )
And yes post more fan art! I wanna see!

Re: Cutie Honey fanart
My precious computer is officially dead. (for the second time >>;) I can't scan or use any image editing programs. :(
The sketch isn't done anyhow. XD I'm still looking for a style to adhere to since my current style is pretty dull and undynamic. ;o; I need an art tutor.

Re: Cutie Honey fanart
:D Great, thanks!
Well, I engaged battle with my zombie-computer and I was able to make it work for a few hours. And then it died again. But Cutie Hayami is done. 8D
I think inking makes everything so much more easier. No more on screen lineart for me. XD
P.-S. Weapon is a spear... but the blade is at the bottom. I ran out of space on my paper to draw the rest. >__>

Inking? On paper or using the tablet? I had hard time inking using tablet. I had to use pen tool and it is a painful slow process. Haven't figure out the quicker method.
I guess I still haven't figure out how to make pencil lineart look good on computer. I am amazed at such people who can do it somehow. It must be something from photoshop at which I haven't figure out.
BTW, your artwork look awesome!
You even made him look sexy despite him being green.

Re: Cutie Honey fanart
Thanks! :D Green jumpsuits ftw? Now that I think about it, I could have drawn the blade over the border. >> meh.
For this one, I inked on paper and it made my life so much easier. The lines are already the way I want them to be and there's no need to hit ctrl+z all the time. I should have cleaned the lines to make the piece more 'digital' and less sketchy but oh well.
Usually, I sketch on photoshop, clean up the mess and make straighter lines after. But since I'm a newbie, it takes me too much time. Even with a lineart done in pencil, it should take a lot of cleaning as well. >> I do use the pen tool from time to time but I never used it to do the whole thing since it's a lot of clicking and brush switching.
I wish I knew how to create textures, shade correctly and create more dynamism. Gosh, I hate talented people. XD

Re: Cutie Honey fanart
What type of pen do you use? Maybe I should try that instead even though my hands can be quite shaky at time.
Lol, yeah. Especially those that finished everything under one hour!Gosh, I hate talented people. XD

Re: Cutie Honey fanart
Hajime-chan is cheating on ore-sama, Kenzaki, with Leangle. :(
Let's see, I use 'STAEDTLER triplus fineliner'. Since I'm pretty new to the art stage, I don't know which tools are better and such. It's the only pen my school sells in the art section so I tried it out. Errors can be corrected on the computer, but I guess I still need to learn how to do traditional art correctly. x3

Re: Cutie Honey fanart
Yeah, I usually clean up mess I made using photoshop program.
I checked around on internet for one you mentioned. It looks like they only sell it in pack of color instead of just black itself. Did you buy it in a pack with other color or just black?
I don't want color pens since I can color my artwork on computer instead.

Re: Cutie Honey fanart
I bought the pen separately. It could be a school-only offer or something. They buy a whole lot of stock and sell the pen separately for more profit. The other color pens are quite pretty actually. xD
