Oh, so that's who Akari was praying for. I wonder what significance Raiga's bell is going to play in the upcoming episodes.
Other mysteries are why Busujima Eiji is called Taishi by Crow. The closest meaning that fits seems to be:
Taishi 隊士 (n) regimental soldier. Also, if you saw Kamen Rider G, you might recognize the actor from that. He was also in Tiger Mask, so you might recognize his strange style of speaking from the promo we released.
As the season draws to a close, I kind of wish it were a bit stronger. I like it quite a bit, since it did few things to offend me and there weren't many straight-out bad episodes. But the good episodes are surrounded by ones that might not have been as strong. There's a bunch of stuff I can nitpick, but I think it's been a pretty great season overall.
Kind of seems weird that this episode is called Watchdog. The exchange between Raiga and Cleric Jiiru is one of the highlights of the episode, but I wouldn't say the plot centered around it.
Garo's never been a master class in writing but... Did Raiga never hear the story about the time his dad brought a woman back to life? Also, what's the point of Eiji explaining to Mayuri that he needs her alive for his plan to work, then threatening to cut her down if she resists? And Mayuri tells him to kill her too, even though she knows that he won't. It's just a lot of stupidity within the course of a few minutes. And then later Eiji is like "That woman is safe... for now." He's not a Bond villain. He's a fallen knight who's trying to revive his girlfriend.
