The door gimmick was fun at first, but it lasted way too long for me

The fan service didn't feel as good this time, but it was still nice. The real fun here was waiting for the new guy to show up. And if Luna doesn't make me edit this:

Yeah... I was not expecting a sudden musical number when Gold showed up there.

Famous places in Japan they go (in order)

Kaito - Himeji Castle, Hyogo
Zyuran - Okinawa (not actually a landmark but the Shisa lions are quite famous)
Gaoon - Statue of Date Masamune at Aoba Castle, Sendai
Majine - Gion district, Kyoto
Vroom - Sapporo Clock Tower, Hokkaido

Fun fact: the Sapporo Clock Tower is known as one of the "3 Most Disappointing Tourist Attractions" in Japan! I pass by it fairly frequently when I go to downtown Sapporo and... yeah, it's a dull 2-story late 19th century structure. You can tour inside for 200 yen but... it's not really worth it. It's noteworthy as the oldest building in Sapporo, but it's really a 5 minute look around "oh that's interesting" and then you walk down the street to the Yukijirushi Ice Cream Parlor which has absolutely amazing parfaits

My only disappointment is that it's a gold ranger again. There are still other colours that haven't been used for a long time you know.

I was kind of hoping the additional hero would be another Kikainoid, one that was based on Battle Fever Robo. But Gokaiger makes sense, too.

Kyuranger wasn't that long ago and they had every color and then some.

They probably wouldn't have anyone return as a supporting character like Decade was, but appearing in multiple episodes is definitely possible.

Would like to see how they react to being ripped off (and I don't just mean the gold guy).

Plus, if they bring back Luka they could also work in Raptor 283 as an earlier android ranger for the Kikainoids to interact with.

I honestly rather enjoyed the door thing, especially when they started going further and further from ground zero every time. I's just a shame they didn't make better use of that angle. Also, it was rather idiotic that they would end up outside only to run back inside every time. You're outside, go home!

I did enjoy the subversion towards the end, and having a pirate version of DiEnd was a nice touch. Also, now we know how Stacaesar is going to get nerfed, since several of his gears were destroyed this episode. I wonder which ones...

Also, how did a pirate get hold of the Gokaiger gear in the first place? Have we seen the team use the 35 gear yet? I'm wondering if the new guy is connected to Kaito's parents somehow. Hopefully Kaito will count through his gears next episode and find one missing. Also, why not fight the guy with actual gears and a geartlinger? That seemed a little on the suspicious side.

The only issue I really had with this episode is Stacee's lineage. Didn't he call Ijirude father in the special? Or was Barashitara actually present but off-camera in that scene? But other than that, this was still a fun episode overall and still far better than anything from the other sentai series for this year.

Hey, I like the dancing, singing pirate guy, he seems fun!

Also, we better get a Gokaiger 10 years after, Toei. We missed Shinkenger, so there will be no forgiveness if Gokaiger and Go-Busters are missed!

What was it meant by Juran when he said he wished he’d stay in “colorful” or something like that? Was that a cultural reference to something? Just curious?

Also, how’d decision go to go with Tsuukai, or trilling? Instead of Twokai? Just curious.
