Wow, you can see actual company names on the phone. Feels like that's rare since that's usually obfuscated with parody in official stuff. This guy has tumblr and vimeo???

GIGA NEWS is one of the news sites. And that article was dated yesterday??? When does this series take place?

Another example of "yeah" being written as "year" in the captions. I wonder who translates their stuff?

At least the attack names are translated this time

Green feels like he's the best at delivering his lines so far

Kind of disappointed that they never explain why Yellow temporarily quits ballet. He can still fight so it's not a physical thing. So what was it? Why doesn't my porn have a better story?!

Hope people are watching and voting in the polls!

Poor yellow, everyone just wants to steal his shoes. Good guys, bad guys, it doesn't even matter. What's the Japanese equivalent of the south side of Chicago?

Even if I'm grading on a curve, this was a bit weaker than episode 2. Blue had a better fight and a bit more personality than Yellow. That said, while I don't buy that Yellow's actor actually has any ballet training, I would buy that he's had some kind of gymnastics training; the dude is rather nimble for his size.

Having seen the MOTW a bit more, the suit definitely isn't up to par with the Wakusaver suits. The armored look could work, but it looked too much like unpainted grey plastic. The second MOTW (oh cool, we're getting more than one!) looks much better in that regard, even if purple helmeted warrior is overdone this year (Stacaesar). I could have gone for a slightly longer MOTW fight, though; these episodes are short enough as it is: 9 minutes, and the first 3 minutes are logos/recap/OP (our shortest one yet).

And so the big, overarching plot is that the big boss wants a Wakusaver's body... Yeah, I should have seen that coming. (So long, Pink!)

Oh, and I see you guys translated the sponsors this time. Are those real companies? I guess that's been there since the first episode, but I'm honestly surprised that this series has any sponsors.

Front page: I'm glad to see everyone is enjoying themselves

It does give one the impression that they couldn't be bothered to replace it. I guess someone could sue them, but somehow I doubt that will happen.
GIGA NEWS is one of the news sites. And that article was dated yesterday??? When does this series take place?
Given that the 16th is when this episode came out, I'm assuming that's mostly meant to be an Easter egg of sorts. If nothing else, it anchors the series to the present time.
Kind of disappointed that they never explain why Yellow temporarily quits ballet. He can still fight so it's not a physical thing. So what was it? Why doesn't my porn have a better story?!
Agreed that it's not a physical thing. Yellow presumably has some kind of mental block, which we may or may not find out about in episode 6.

But at least they're being consistent about backstories. It's right up there with what happened to Red's dad. :P

Looks like it's the same sponsor screen since episode 1:

One of the sponsors is Lady Trooper Chocolate. Sentouin (trooper) is the same term used for Shocker Troopers (the grunts that screech "ii!" and fight Kamen Riders) so it may be a reference to that.

The other sponsor is Tokyo Legenmirror Hotel which is a parody of Tokyo La'gent Hotel. But it's also a parody of the Legenmirror porn hero series by GIGA.

Okay. So they're fake/parody sponsors. That makes more sense.:)

Indeed!

Honestly, if it wasn't for that costume, I would have no clue that this was a pr0n production.

There is a youtube short spin off of Makai called Makai-Go-On where they felt it was necessary to have a scene where they show a closeup of about 1/2 of a guys ass for 30 seconds for no particular reason.

I hope that in the movie that they don't think it's a good thing for the one-eye-covered guy to undo Yellow's henshin device just so he can get hentai with the guy's shoes. Or, steal green's e-currency so that he can go on chekchi and ask idols and gravure girls to do cheki for him. Or, steal red's telescope so he can spy on girls in a high-rise building. Or, steal Blue's camera so that he can shoot gravure with swimsuit villain.

I just want to say that I appreciated the TV-N wiki on this occasion. We're on episode 3 and I suddenly realised that this was the first time I'd seen them mention one of the Rangers' names - didn't have a clue what to actually call these people! But lo and behold, the wiki came through, so thank you! :)

By the way, is "Planet Cube" the name for the little stone or for the morpher itself? Episodes 1 & 3 suggest it's the stone (which would make sense since it's a cube shape) but episode 2 seemed to imply it was the morpher. I guess consistency isn't a huge priority in the pr0n world?

I thought for sure the planet cube was the rock that's inserted. Not sure what the other part of the device is called

"insert the planet cube into the Wakusei Changer"
i think was episode one?
um ... the ballet guy has an axe, and his attack is "shining tool"? like really? i mean ... there IS Shinning Finger ... so ....
perhaps the changer needs to be made from something important to the member weilding it, hence why its been twice now it transformed from something.
that woman walking, all i could think was, "this bitch got clubbed feet!"

the boomerang semi implies the weapons will combine?

Pretty sure it was mentioned a couple times. But they did make it clear that the cube is the little device that holds the crystal, while the Wakusei Changer is the wrist device.
um ... the ballet guy has an axe, and his attack is "shining tool"? like really? i mean ... there IS Shinning Finger ... so ....
The axe is pretty much the weakest of all the weapons, since it's a box with a handle. It reminds me of a Heisei Rider's weapon, but I can't remember which one... It was a white box that became a sword or gun depending on the mode. Maybe Decade?

I have to admit, the attack name is quite the double entendre, though, and I'm guessing the axe is meant to be a twin blade. Otherwise there's no way it would cut anything.

That was the impression I had pretty much the whole time. I'll have to go back and rewatch it, but I think Red's telescope might've been the sacrificed item in Episode 1. One thing I do know is that their seemingly brief interest in the disappearance of their items may be excusable as "I can feel my precious item is still with me" because they always note the missing item, then immediately note the changer and seem to forget the item.

It's pretty much a dead cert. The weapons are all classic sentai weapons, and with the exception of GoRanger and JAQK, the weapons pretty much always combined to form a super weapon throughout the Showa Era. With GoRanger, their team weapon was a football, then later a rugby ball. In JAQK, it was their own bodies used for the Covak, which consisted of them headbutting the baddie, holding hands, and spinning him in a circle until he flies of and explodes. Seriously.

I think the reason they went with ballet is because it sounds more graceful than gymnastics, but I agree that his attacks are all gymnastic-based and really have nothing to do with ballet. Hist one pose was the closest it gets, and that's actually a common pose in tango and many other forms of dance as well.

I really do wish this show had a bigger budget, not because I think the costumes are bad or the props suck (I'm actually fine wit hall of them and they're pretty decent for a third-party sentai), but because I really want to see longer episodes or for this to be an actual series. The fact that the five episodes combines are barely going to reach the length of an average thirds-party sentai episode is really disappointing.

Also, I had to laugh when they failed to angle Sun's arm enough to hide his fist being shoved up the puppet's butt. Normally I'd be really upset about that, but in this case, it just added to the comedy because they were taking the scene so seriously. It was another one of those happy unintended ToQGer references.

I haven't paid enough attention but who sings the theme song? It's usually the lead actress in these productions, but this one's a duet. I wish they'd gotten the harmonies better, but the music itself is very sentai, so I tend to let it slide.

One thing I'm worried about is when Episode 6 comes out. Will it be a slightly more graphic version of third party sentai torture scenes? Or will it be more like some of the actual porn sentai where the suits mainly exist to be ripped off the ranger's body so they can get ravaged? The fact that they're making so much effort to give a plot and some depth in the first five episodes makes me hopeful it'll be the former and not the latter. At least we don't have to wait too long to find out.

Maybe if it sells well enough Giga will do another series and put even more effort into it. Most of their catalogue is the typical sentai porn, so I think this is their first attempt to go mainstream, possibly to compete with third party giant Zen Pictures, which has been doing gravure sentai series (much of which is actually quite good) for a couple decades now and pretty much has no competition in the subgenre.

its a shame these suits are connected to something that isnt ... more mainstream? i mean they have great designs, a killer opening, interesting cast (so far) and well ... just a shame.

Huh. I had no idea this was even a thing until now. Just how many versions of sexy sentai does Japan need?!

In Japan? There's never enough! They actually have tentacle sentai, and it seems like there's a new subgenre popping up every year.

Pretty much every major porn company (and some not so major) has done multiple sentai porns, and Zen is famous for doing one-shots and limited series of gravure sentai, which features gravure models as the stars, but beyond showing some leg (and the occasional bikini) and having the obligatory torture scene, is essentially family friendly.

That's not even getting into the fan stuff, which often has a bit of sexy costuming just because.

Akibaranger was so great because it literally took what Zen and others were doing for years and tied it in with official Super Sentai.
