What is this music to start the episode? LOL

LOL what was that sound effect of her opening the pouch. So doesn't fit

New outfit, new upskirt right away

I know they always film in a garage, but for some reason this dingy garage felt impressively oppressive

Why is she whispering "stop it"?

Like t his monster design much more than last week's.

Dino Pink, you're going to break your hand doing that!

What is that English word in Rex's phone? Does that say "conceive"? Comkcive? I'm genuinely baffled by this

I genuinely love all the expressions the witch has

Ooh, Rex can flip. Again, good dull thunk effects for punches to this guy. It genuniely sounds bad to hit him

I guess I didn't notice that the Dinnovators have different movements for their transformations

Again, please don't have the monsters talk through a weird filter. It makes things so hard for me >:

They're pretty mobile in those suits! Good action

Wow, actual humor in this series. This series is already a billion times better than Wakusaver

Bloomers

Sad we didn't get more of the witch, but at least we saw her in her cop outfit.

5 stars. That was entertaining!

Giga seems to be getting the hang of doing legitimate tokusatsu. Gone is the looped action footage. Gone are the flashbacks breaking up the action. The police outfit for the Viovater General was sexy without being over the top, and her acting was better this episode. We still don't know a lot about the guys, but we will probably get some backstory in the next two episodes.

Now, if they really wanted to do things right, they could make the pr0n stuff non-canon and stretch the series out some. You could have each one of the guys have a tragic backstory that pink has to resolve with the purity of her heart. You could have have a team up episode for the guys and have pink be unusually excited over it. You could also have a subplot where the Viovater general in different cool looking disguises tries to seduce the guy dinnovaters but winds up experiencing emotions she has not felt before. You could still do non-canon pr0n specials every 4-6 episodes based off of a cliff hanger, but in the youtube series have the cliffhanger be resolved in a different way.

Whats up with the sexualized mini skirts in giga's tokusastu shows? I definitely enjoyed episode 2

This is still a GIGA work, of course. But I'll give them credit where it's due: everything clicked in that episode. The action, the plot, the humor, and the upskirt shots all properly came together here, more so than any previous GIGA episode thus far. I'm still grading the show on a curve, but on those standards, this is top notch material for GIGA.

Looking through the wiki, I'm wondering how much of the difference we're seeing is due to the director. It's not just the writing that's better, but the actual execution of pretty much everything is tighter. The camerawork, the fighting, the humor, etc. There are admittedly a lot of variables in play, but a lot of this sure seems to be due to direction.

Pink's new outfit looks oddly out of place, though. The need to make everything sexy aside, it isn't even made out of the same material as the boys' uniforms. It's as shiny as all heck - almost to the pointof being distracting - so it's probably made up almost entirely of nylon/spandex. Which makes it amusingly out of place in a toku series: normally you transform to put the spandex on, not take it off!

Speaking of getting that spandex off, GIGA broke one of the cardinal rules of toku here: they had the enemy stop the hero mid-transformation! It's not a big deal all things considered, but given how straight they otherwise play these homages, I suppose I'm a bit surprised? Under normal toku rules, if the hero manages to utter their henshin phrase, they're normally safe.

For what it's worth, this is the same building as episode 1. Though I don't think it's a garage? The pillars are rather close together. It looks more like a stripped out industrial building or the like.
Why is she whispering "stop it"?
One of the downsides to casting from the Japanese mattress actress pool is that you've already kind of self-selected for soft-spoken women who are good at sounding like a dying cat. Dino Pink is leagues better than Waku Pink, but she's still on the soft side. Neither are film actresses (never mind stage actresses), who are taught to project their voice a bit more.

And her volume relative to everything could be turned up in post. But it would still be a soft performance.
Like t his monster design much more than last week's.
Agreed. And unlike our heroes, he actually looks metal.
Dino Pink, you're going to break your hand doing that!
I guess karate chops are her thing? I was wondering why she wasn't punching anyone. It's a very odd choice, as punching is straight-up superior as an attack.
What is that English word in Rex's phone? Does that say "conceive"? Comkcive? I'm genuinely baffled by this
I think someone was going for "Call Mode" or the like and it went very, very wrong. It's a really good use of CGI, though; they kept it perfectly aligned with the prop and everyone. It's almost too good for this series.
Ooh, Rex can flip.
Right? I'm impressed. Heck, most Toei actors can't do that.
Wow, actual humor in this series. This series is already a billion times better than Wakusaver
And the delivery is pretty good, too. It's easy to fail at being funny. It's a lot harder to actually succeed.
Sad we didn't get more of the witch, but at least we saw her in her cop outfit.
I was getting ready to go into a long diatribe about what the deal was with the cop and how it was a dropped plot thread, and then I saw your post. The Clark Kent effect hit me hard here. I didn't recognize her to be the same actress in the slightest.

Well it's one long advertisement for a $50 porno. So it's basically a preview of coming attractions. Though it might be more generous to say that sexiness is simply an element of their shows, not unlike Garo and such.

On a bit of a tangential note to that, apparently ballet is a recurring theme for Dino Pink's actress (Suwan Shiratori). I saw it mentioned elsewhere that some of her adult works are also ballet-focused. Which makes me wonder if indeed she has some dance training.

What really strikes me about these series is that the actresses actually have some meat on their bones. They're actually pretty large by JP standards, especially when compared to the everpresent skinny stick models. I guess Giga prefers boobs over fashionability?

Hmm. I guess I've never bothered to size up Jav actresses before. Both Waku and Dino Pink register as "normal actresses" to my brain. So the idea that they're on the bigger side is a bit surprising to me.

In any case, you're probably right. Though perhaps they're also looking for someone who can properly fill out their suits, since GIGA's niche means they're almost always being worn?

Maybe they were just given more money to play with? The writer and director definitely come from porn, so it's not like they're established in other stuff. (If you need the Japanese spelling of their name, it's commented out in the wiki code. You can see it by hitting edit)

I couldn't find any info on the action directors:
Action Director - 阿久翔馬、五里玉三郎

How about that graffiti in the background that says I don't like boring things lol

But that's what dubbing is for...

Haha nice. I figured it out from the trailer because they're obviously the same woman. Conservation of information/guests/characters I guess

Oh really? I think I saw she was Sailor Venus in another video, hence the bow in her hair. Is her name really romanized suwan shiratori? Because I swear it should be Swan Shiratori (Shiratori = swan in Japanese)

It's entirely possible. I'm just pondering the idea that this director, Sakata Toru, is better at directing something that isn't porn than Wakusaver's director, Unatsuki. Not every director is going to be good at multiple genres, after all.

That does make me wonder where GIGA is even pulling action directors from. It's a rather specific job. Maybe they're stage names for JAE alum or such?

True. But even then, I think it's fair to say that this isn't an actress who is accustomed to projecting. It's simply not her style, unfortunately.

I don't know what the official spelling is. But if you search Google for Swan Shiratori you get Deka Swan. If you search for Suwan Shiratori you get the actress. The U seems pretty universal, in that respect.

Oh gotcha. Probably, since the whole thing seems better put together

>That does make me wonder where GIGA is even pulling action directors from. It's a rather specific job. Maybe they're stage names for JAE alum or such?

Yeah, but most of those guys tend to be affiliated with a group like JAE, AAC Stunts, AC Factory, or Red Action Club. It's weird to have no online presence otherwise

Maybe it's just an English thing to avoid the Deka confusion? I've seen covers where it saw Suwan Siratori, Swan Shiratori, and a Suwan Shiratori. Also according to her debut av video, the cover says she's a real ballet teacher

Really? With that shit en pointe? Reeeeeealllyyy?

And yeah Virge, she's still skinny but the thighs are pretty damn thick for Japan, even just for normal women not models. Maybe she really is a ballet dancer, that would explain the thighs

Funny enough, during episode 1 I was thinking her thighs seemed a bit thick for a ballerina. I always thought dancers had slim thighs. But then I don't know any ballerinas.

(Either way, they're nice thighs  )

Wouldn't dancers have especially thick legs because of muscles?

There's an episode 3 btw, anyways, ive seen this episode and I'm shocked that the cop was the witch we barely even seen yet, I've seen this and I like this series, I think giga should make more stuff like This in the future, I'm surprised giga is making kids shows now. For a porn company they seem to like making kids shows like this
