That guy's obviously not okay.

Ooh stakes. I wish they beat up the zombie guy, but it was funny to see him overact and add some stakes in this pretty light bit of toku. Some steps forward, some steps back GIGA

When timing, I was nearly halfway through it before there was new dialogue lines

Yeah, it's a really short episode. Throw out the intro, recap, and next episode preview, and it's barely 5 minutes long. I almost wonder if it was all meant to be part of episode 1. But then at 4 episodes total, that would bring the already small episode count down even further.

Ultimately I think you're right: this is going to be a "short" series. No big plots, just some fights and basic exposition spread out over 4 sub-10 minute episodes. And very little talking, at this rate.

Anyhow, the stunt choreography was okay. But the cinematography was a step above the usual. Being outside gives them some more room to move the camera (especially up) and to block shots in general.

On that note, I'm kind of surprised by how little they've been showing off white so far, especially since she's the main draw for their $60 videos.

Okay, this is really becoming a disappointment, even if I ignore the ninja theme (which, let's face it, they did as well beyond throwing "let's use ninjitsu" in there).

Only white can fight, which is a pleasant change from the girl usually being the weakest fighter, but she gets a couple good hits in and runs into a tree EVERY TIME. And neither guy could fight their way out of a wet paper bag, let alone beat up a MotW without their magical swords.

The doctor/scientist/whatever's acting is so hokey that I can't tell if I want to laugh or cry. And that minute long recap only drove the whole thing home.

Speaking of long recaps, this is starting to feel like Dune... Not a lot happens in the first installment, half of the second recapped events in the first, then half the third is devoted to recapping the first two... It made the books almost unreadably boring and it's kind of doing the same for this show. We're literally only going to get a 20-minurte episode out of the entire series at this rate!

White's very easy on the eyes and (when she's not busy running into trees) has some good moves. For her alone, I'm giving this one a 3/5. So disappointing after Dinnovater and starting to feel worse than Wakusaver despite the better cinematography (as someone else also mentioned, that's actually a big improvement).


On a side note, is it just me or does Red look like a live action Goku? Talk about bad casting calls...

I am having a hard time warming up to White. Maybe it's a ninja thing for lady ninja's to look skinny and non-muscular, but after the two previous Pinks, she looks out of place.

It would have been funnier if the doctor zombie bit a tree limb and then shot spores out of his forehead.

There are hundreds of professional wrestlers in Japan, most of whom could have come up with better fight choreography than that. With over 3500 titles in their catalog one would think that they could spend a little to get a better product.

I'm gonna say this early, don't expect too much on the x-rated part. You'll be more likely to be disappointed. Wakusaver, Dinnovator, none of them were good.
