Oh that's interesting. I didn't know Japanese tally by writing the kanji "just" 正. five 五(It's technically 4 strokes though). I was wondering why Tadano wrote 2 in such a weird way on the chalk board

In the manga, Naruse is just a comedic side character. He doesn't hit on Komi at all.

I don't know how I feel about this episode. I didn't hate it, but the teacher is annoying and I didn't enjoy Naruse hitting on Komi. Which is weird since I'm all for making Naruse a more rounded character, and his general narcisccism is kinda amusing. But then that scene where he makes a big deal at teh voting didn't work either. So I dunno??

Also contrived love triangle because this is a drama. It just feels like paint by number drama. "We've got to have the love triangle. The love rival. The karaoke scene. The walking home and stopping at a children's swing scene. Etc..."

This series is at its best when it sticks to the manga and at its worst when it tries to shoehorn it into generic drama half hour

I've been seeing Shirota Yu play high school kids since *I* was in high school and it's reaaaally not working anymore.

Not a horrible episode but also not great.

Isn´t 正?

Mixed feelings about this one. At least, the face reactions for Komi got better, she seemed kinda.. apathetic before. Lacks more comedy, but at least way better than ep 4.

Well, 五 is only 4 strokes for one...

I think it's just that it's the only kanji with 5 strokes of only straight lines? I've never heard any historical reason, just "that's how it's done"
