While I wasn't surprised at how messy everything turned out in terms of storytelling, I'm still a little disappointed that this expectation held true. Inoue, this was your chance to prove me wrong.
The plot hole with Rumi is surprising because the show tried to respect continuity, making frequent references to previous events. Failing to do so with an important reveal is quite sloppy.
It is weird how this episode rushes to resolve several plot threads even though there are still more episodes to give them breathing room. It sets up the remaining episodes to feel anticlimatic or irrelevant.
