Remember when the Kyoryuger Brave Prelude promised to show how the other 4 met their Zyudenryu? I think "6 seconds" is fairly accurate there.

In fact, you know what DOES need a Director's Cut? Kyoryuger Gaburincho of Music. Because when the show flashed back to the movie, they flashed back to a deleted scene.

There are actually a couple of deleted scenes from things we know of which have never been released. Gokaiger had them do a full 6-person Zyuranger change for Ninjaman. We have a promo image of that, but no footage. There were also magazine pics of Dark Necrom P outside, instead of just the tiny glimpse she got in the actual show.

Rips are out now for this. Run time is 26:09, compared to 23:20 from the TV version, although it's missing the Kingohger handoff, and adds the TTFC ident at the start. I CBA to go through right now and check what's new though.

Did Murasame fly off in the broadcast version? I still don't know what gesture Tsuyoshi is doing when he says "I'm proud to be a DonBrothers"

I guess I didn't realize that Jin made the onigiri for Momoi first, and then Momoi makes it for Jin

Otherwise, I didn't really see any scenes that stood out to me? I guess there's less on the cutting room floor than I thought. Not totally sure why they felt like recutting the episode to release a director's cut since nothing major was added as a result

I'd say more money? Except that I doubt a DC did much to boost subscription numbers.

I doubt Toei cuts very much at all in general. At this point they're probably experts at knowing how much stuff to film for the episodes, I can't imagine most of the time they cut very much at all. The Saikyou Battle Director's Cut was basically just random lines here and there they probably just had to cut to meet the broadcast length.

After they released some Kiramager deleted footage during the COVID filler, I was kind of disappointed we didn't get versions of episodes 1 and 2 with them re-added in. And I mentioned earlier in this thread that Kyoryuger Gaburincho of Music really needs one.

I feel like if there were ever any substantial deleted scenes, we'd get them. Kyoryuger Gaburincho of Music has them, but to my knowledge none of the Blu-Rays ever contain deleted footage, and you'd think they'd be included if there was anything to show.

It feels like Toei in general have been cutting back on the deleted scenes bonuses. It doesn't feel like they appear as frequently as they did during the early to mid 2000s
