Rinne's been bothering me less recently, but I'm still pretty unenthused listening to Houtarou's flat narration

It was pretty funny that they summoned the ufo, only to miss it by seconds. Kajiki, there's your 5 second of screaming Hijiri-san for the episode

Oh the girl is the traitor. But we got like nothing about her personality from this episode before revealing that. At least she's kind of cute

It feels like we're on the main plot street, which is nice. But man, as much as I like the team, Houtarou and Spanner are real black holes of charisma. Houtarou is so bland that he can't even make the guy who uses his heart instead of his head be a fun character to watch. And Spanner is the asshole who's always right, but just comes off as the guy who has a stick up his butt and a series of bad catchphrases

Which is a pity because spunky Osaka girl, guy who's smart but has a speach impediment, and even Rinne who's our mysterious heroine with an unknown backstory are all pretty good right now. And I think the three sisters are pretty compelling villains this year, which their differing personalities. Hopefully they get to do more stuff and be a bit more dimensional

But these flaws come off in the writing where people are constantly talking up how hearty Houtarou is or yelling "You can do it, Kamen Rider!" like the kids in the audience need a model of how to do that. The flaws in the writing and the flaws in the acting are reinforcing each other

is it just me, or was the physical prop for Stagvine that they were hunting with nets just a recolor of one of the phones from W?

lol at all the lesser forms getting their wild mode showoff this episode because "the phase 02 set of cards goes on sale today, gotta speed through the last of the combos you can make with it to encourage kids to buy packs." I look forward to when the boxes I ordered come in so I can see what the combos are "supposed" to look like as forms in the phone app.

that driver the sisters were making looks like the Gamer Driver and the Demons Driver had a lovechild.

a little surprised LightningJungle didn't get the full CGI henshin sequence, since it's one of the proper "this form gets a toy, gets to be a costume AND a wild mode, and the irl cards for it are UR/Parallel rarity" forms. also, saw a great pun that helped me realize something about it. "not seeing a lot of "jungle" in this form." "that's because it's a "power plant"."

Yes, pump out all the useless forms so we don't need to advertise the toys again when trying to deal with the more serious plot. But wtf was with BunnyParka?! That's just a white hoody, with no face and no legs, flopping all over the place. It's nightmare inducing.

So far everyone from the Alchemy Alliance were really unlikable. The writer really want the viewers to hate them.

The voice actor of UFO-X was Hoshi Souichirou. I knew him as the voice of Kira Yamato from Gundam Seed.

so, someone got a closer look at the UFO X display and noticed that all 10 categories are listed in English, so we know what the themes of the last four categories are, even if we don't know the actual chemy themselves yet.
