Why do these four get to be in a real place while the two stars of this arc are on cgi backgrounds?

So why did coming to life give Grody the power to do God's Wrath again? I didn't know he wasn't able to do it till now, but I guess he couldn't?

Wait, so there are more revelations? The Bugnaraku weren't the indigenous species to this planet with humans being the colonizers after all?

Again, stop letting Rita name things. She got the win once with King-Ohger. Don't be greedy

Why does it look like Racles's outfit doesn't fit him now?

Space castle sure did a good job blasting all those tetris blocks

Yes Tofu, make sure you don't let the locusts eat all the food again

Oh hey, it's Doggie again

Get sucked into that cgi hole

Who's this prisoner guy? I'm sure he was someone before

Oh hey, being underground has its advantages

Oops. Dropping Nksopa's castle probably took out Chikyuu's wifi

Hey, even the rice fields are hexagons. Very beelike

Oh, they put Racles in God Ant. The viewer and the characters know that he isn't really a bad guy, so who are they keeping up this pretense of humiliation for?

I'm never going to remember he draws the silly G as part of the finisher

Oh right, the world of death is a thing. I'm glad to see that he's getting his just retribution, but also, a ghost being haunted by ghosts?

What is happening in that preview

Good parts: The evacuation helped us visit all t he kingdoms and their people again. Always good

The not so good: No tricks for defeating Grody, he's alive now, so just kill him. Kind of makes the evacuation feel a little redundant since it's not like the rulers couldn't entrust the evacuation to their aides. It took them all of five seconds to wipe out the locust infestation and then one hit to take out Grody? Worst yet, after a touching episode with Himeno and Jeremie, just having Gira yell at Grody and killing the guy feels a bit anticlimactic

Edit:
I know people don't complain about our swearing in the subs anymore, but in case people wondered about Yanma's line:
俺ら王様戦隊がケツは守る。
Yup. Ohsama Sentai is going to protect your buttocks

Edit edit:
I can't help but notice the stuff that landed the rulers in jail, the Antlion weapon that Kaguragi was making, the Ultra Computer that Yanma set up, are all being used here to save the people. So again, I'm impressed with the forethought, while still wishing the writing was better

Edit edit edit:
Oh yeah, and Deka boss is in this episode again, if you missed him in 35

Also, I don't know why you'd recognize her, but the lady in the wheelchair is this lady from Revice:

I like how they had everything planned out and executed the evacuation plan coordinately. Very organized and military-like. Very fitting for a royal-themed show.

Rita like unnecessarily complicated long names.

The fight in the end was anti-climatic. They could've at least show King-Ohger flied around a bit to take down the swamp. But I like Grody got his retribution by getting what he wished for but not what he actually wanted. The land of dead was noisy and he's going to spend eternity in it.

Bugnaraku came from another planet now? What? What happened to the theory of them mutated from humans because the DNA were very similar?

Inada Tetsu-san! Still had the doggy shoulder pad I see.

3 episodes left, and we're already dealing with Dagdedo next episode. I'm betting Kamejimu is the final boss. He didn't really do anything significant after the Bugnaraku arc.

That's the weird thing, because they said pretty definitively that the Bugnaraku weren't humans, just similar. Whatever that means

Oh no, it's God's Wrath...

I for one immensely enjoyed this episode. It's probably going to end up in my all-time top Sentai episode list once this series is said and done.

King-Ohger had some very lofty ambitions from the very start of the series. And while the whole virtual production aspect is by and large a failure, in my opinion, the world building succeeds more than it fails. And this episode in particular is a prime example of where the world building is fully succeeding, from start to finish.

Every moment of this episode moves at a perfect pace. Nothing drags on longer than it should, and nothing feels rushed. Every element - every leader and their kingdom - gets a moment to shine. Their place in The Plan is well thought out and consistent with what we've come to know about them, from the literal criminal underground to Kaguragi making sure to bring extra food. And each leader gets to give a short, inspirational speech that is unique and fitting to their characterization.

Racles even earns his redemption. And while he still has lots left to make up for, he's finally earned a place as an Ohger.

This episode is basically competence porn from start to end. And I loved every second of it.

The worst thing I can say about this episode is that it doesn't have much in the way of ground fighting (particularly since that was taken care of in the previous episode). But what we do get there is all untransformed fighting by the actors themselves. And then we still get a proper robo fight at the end of all of this - despite how rare that's been in the second half of the series - and it's a night-fight at that. They even find something to do with the demi-shugods that we haven't seen for 40-some episodes!

Given that the team spent the first 20 or so episodes of this series being dysfunctional really makes episodes like this a rarity. And while it still doesn't excuse what I feel to be a weak first-half, we're definitely getting some good pay-offs in the later part of this season. I just wish we could have had smaller moments like this earlier on.

As things stand, this is darn-near a perfect Sentai episode.

On a side note, having watched this shortly after seeing the summer movie (Adventure Heaven), I realized that at some point in the last couple of months they've finally stop putting Himeno in wigs. It looks like she's still wearing hair extensions or the like to give her long blonde curls, but they're no longer doing the ridiculous overt wigs. It's a significant improvement, IMHO.

It finally motivated him, I guess?
Space castle sure did a good job blasting all those tetris blocks
It was only a short CGI sequence, but I really liked it. The flying castle finally got to do something as the castle, and not just the robo.
Oh, they put Racles in God Ant. The viewer and the characters know that he isn't really a bad guy, so who are they keeping up this pretense of humiliation for?
It's probably a joke that's dragged on for a little too long. But then again, God Ant was also treated as the most important of the Shugods back when God King-Ohger was originally formed, so feh.
Oh right, the world of death is a thing. I'm glad to see that he's getting his just retribution, but also, a ghost being haunted by ghosts?
It's very fitting, I feel.

Pandemonium, apparently.
I can't help but notice the stuff that landed the rulers in jail, the Antlion weapon that Kaguragi was making, the Ultra Computer that Yanma set up, are all being used here to save the people. So again, I'm impressed with the forethought, while still wishing the writing was better
Agreed. That's an impressive callback, especially given that we all assumed it was a bunch of pointless fluff at the time. But it also could have been handled in a way that didn't make it such pointless fluff to begin with.

It would be fitting in at least one respect. He was the first bug we see, after all (albeit in his disguise).

It's weird, but the more I think about it, the more I like King-Ohger in hind sight

Oh, I didn't even notice that

Another weird thing about all this is that, it would have been cool if they were preparing for Dagdedo all along. But they were in jail for these things before the second arc, and so they couldn't have known about him then

>It would be fitting in at least one respect. He was the first bug we see, after all (albeit in his disguise).

Ooh, that makes sense. It's kind of a trope in its own right really. Goseiger had their different enemy groups, but Burajira was always there, being the manipulating vizier to all the leaders. Makes sense for the scheming, treacherous character to have been the true villain all along

But how do you deal with someone who's essentially a god? If this pulled from Star Trek, you could have anything from outwitting them like with a Q, convincing them to act to their better nature, or call their parents upon Dagdedo, like Trellaine.

It had a lot of ambition to tell a big story. Which is refreshing coming from DonBros (chaos writing) and ZenKai (nostalgic mess). Unfortunately, it has spent a lot of time struggling to tell that story, but there are still a few more episodes to go before we close the book on that.

Aye. It's not foreshadowing or prep; rather it just seems to be there to illustrate how godly these characters are, and that even their crazy whims end up helping their people. The payoff is better than the setup deserved.
