Ratings for last week's episode: 4.62 out of 5 (13 votes)

Hmm, the lady has a different scene in the op this week

Guess Taiya's a cheap millionaire. She can't afford to just be a courier so she has to have multiple part time jobs

Hey, has anyone else pointed out the tires in the background say Turbo 1989, Go-On 2008, and CarRan 1996?

Are the Three Seaters in the same place as last week?

Uh... did she transfer to being Boom Yellow?

You know, I'd just not drive by the giant monster that cuts apart cars

We're having fun with the giant tracking shot

Where'd the police guy get a gun?

Hey it's that hands thing

Must have been a fun day for that stunt woman.

So... are we ever going to see the real life red car in the race?

Guess we're getting our GI Joe safety messages in the ending song from now on

We get a little more orange and black, but it's nice that we're still focusing on the dynamic/relationship of red, blue, and pink. It was an interesting tact to have red adjusting pink to fit with their attack routine

Mira's outfit this week is fucking me up, she's dressed like a Yellow Ranger.

Probably the weakest episode so far, but only because the first 2 were so good.

I like that Mira seems to be the focus so far. Clearly Haruka being so prominent in Donbrothers was a big success.

See, I don't know Japanese police, I just assumed that was normal over there.
Seen:
Super Sentai: Fiveman onwards
Kamen Rider: Ichigou-Skyrider, all the Heisei/Reiwa series except the American shows.
Precure: DokiDoki-Go Pri
Metal Heroes: Gavan
Other: Spiderman, Power Rangers

I mean, do they have guns? I wouldn't have thought a Japanese cop on a bike, who seems to have a one room office, would carry a gun as standard gear

The Japanese police aren't like the UK police where they don't carry guns. The beat cops in Japan carry a revolver that's attached to them with a cord.

I guess it feels weird considering how more realistic this series is (like it's not a cop drama or something). What would he even shoot with that gun? The yakuza? Wild animals?

They're taking their time adding the new members and new toys. We can spend more time with the core three to learn more about them, and we're not getting dumped truckload of new toys every episode. I feel like I'm back in the early 2000s. Love this pacing.

There's a certain vibe in this series that I'm really enjoying. It's very calm. There're some on-point humors but there's nothing special or spectacular in this episode, yet I'm just smiling all the way through. It's hard to pinpoint, maybe it has a relaxed cruising vibe and no loud screaming voices?

And makes a change from Gotchard, which so far has had a new Form or Rider in 23/27 episodes.

The two main villains scene in the OP have changed as well. Episode 2 had them doing a combined heart pose but episode 3 shows the guy villain falling down with the girl laughing at him. Also I can't really recall a Sentai OP having so little clips of the villains. They only show up probably less than a second and it's really blink and you'll miss them. There isn't any fight scenes of the Boonboomgers fighting the mooks even.

OMG... the clock face is used in driving instructions to describe the hand positions on the steering wheel. The 10-2 position (10:10) was phased out and was not recommended anymore due to safety concerns. The 9-3 position (9:15) is what most driving instructors use now.

This explained the what Taiya said during the finisher. I was so confused by that.

Director:
"she's dressed like a yellow this week."

Wardrobe:
"but she'll wear a pink helmet during the bicycle scenes."

Director:
"oh. ok."

Wardrobe:
"fuwahahaha! next week she'll be dressed a violet ranger! so long as she sports something pink none will be the wiser!"

So, Boonboom has to go to gate mode for each mecha they add to the main mech? that seems ... awfully inefficient to have to pause during battle to not only transform but to transform the bonus mech too, then transform back and combine.

i wonder if the car Taiya drives will become a team bazooka? its giving off 80~90s sentai vibes.

Well, I guess the series won't get much better than this. It's a little too goofy for me, but I'm enjoying it. The backstory lines seem very promising, tho.

So I'm not the only one who are felling these vibes, huh? Good to know! lol
What really gave me that feeling so far is the small lil' monster who is always responsible to bring back deceased enemies back to life as giants. And the way they summon their mechas also give that vibe a little bit. By talking to a wrist communicator and all...

I only just found out that Mira's name is written "未来"
Actually read that as "mirai" in the wiki page; this spelling isn't a car pun too, is it?

Shifuto Mira. Shift Mirror.
I meant the spelling "未来" itself
The names themselves are obviously puns, and I'm kind of despising that fact

Yeah that kanji is usually Mirai, so it's interesting that it's just Mira here. Probably a concession made to get that car pun?
