oh no, how can red and blue be fighting? Surely this will pay off in a cool way
come on sentai's elon musk, open your wallet so your teammates can focus on fighting evil or whatever instead of building your space rocket car
That moving shot in front of the dumb green screen must have been more expensive than it needed to be
Oh, right Taiya's weirdly parseled out backstory. They even have his crush teacher's actress. The show's nearly done, why are we still learning this?
Imagine the Boonboomgers are playing ufo catcher with the cars in their down time
Buy all those Boonboomger weieners
Black's rod is weirdly bent at 9:46 when it's glowing
The alternate Boonboomger episode where Shashiro is just shot in the face by a femme fatale
I still kind of laugh when their power up is the ability to put on their cool jackets lol
Shashiro really is the Batman of the team. He's planned a contigency for taking out his teammates too
Is it my imagination or is the lens of the camera not broken? Actually, I totally thought the first thing Shashiro did upon entering was to shoot out the camera lens...
What a cool roof shot. I wonder where they are
Did they send a spy to take out the lady spy? Feels a bit like Jango fett sending the assassin to take care of his targets. If the spy that took out the lady spy was that good, why didn't he just take out the Boonboomgers himself?
I don't know if the components all hold up, but overall I felt like that was a 5/5 star episode for me. I enjoy the focus on characters and it's nice to see the bond between red and blue. More of this please
Weird preview. I saw Engine-O, but it doesn't seem likea Go-Onger centric episode or to have any Go-On guests. Frankly annoyed with the callbacks in this series that mostly jerk you around. At least Go-On Red got to show up and be himself and have a little story

Re: Boonboomger 37 discussion thread
This episode did feel like a spy film, even with failed agents getting executed... Well as much as it can in a sentai show.
We finally got a glimpse of why Taiya is obsessed with helping others. Is this all we're getting or will they show us more of what happened?
Taiya is teaching Jou and Mira to do Boonboom car's maintenance? They're going to break everything.
Other than Taiya, looks like Genba also sensed something was wrong with the the fake Shashiro.
Lol the moody "You..." Taiya said to Shashiro in the beginning was just "You talk too much!"
I like that each of them are getting a chance to use the Champion Changer. I wonder what would Jou's episode be like?
You can always count on Mira to lighten the mood.
I want those sausages Sakito bought...

Taiya's past
The reason Taiya was so fixated on "screams" lied in an experience he had as a child. He heard the cry of a young child from the next room, and an irreversible incident occured. He blames himself for not helping despite hearing the screams.
The details of the incident with the child was not depicted in this story. The production team had a general idea of what happened. What's important was not the details of the incident, but the fact that the regret of not being able to do anything as a boy was what shaped Taiya into the person he is today.
In the scene Taiya's parents' faces were in the shadow and cannot be seen clearly, but the father was actually played by Mori Hirotsugu-san (suit actor of BoonRed), and the mother was played by Miyazawa Yuki-san (suit actor of Itashaa). Taiya made his fortune through his own efforts, so his parents weren't particularly wealthy. When it came to deciding the clothes they wore, they decided to took a stroll around the LIVIN OZ mall near the Toei studios (?) and used the people who came to shop there as a reference.
Taiya and fake Ishirou
The moment Taiya saw Ishirou entered the garage, he realized that Ishirou was a fake. What did you expect? It's Taiya and Ishirou after all!
When Taiya confronted him, the fake Ishirou taped his pen on the table and it conveyed his irritation. I personally like it because it's like a countdown to the battle to come.
Ishirou and Steer
This episode was a homage to another spy film. To give you a hint, one of the proposed subtitles was "Impossible Mission". There was a lone female spy who appeared in the fifth installment of that series.
Ishirou was being followed by his former spy companion, Steer. The name "Steer" came from the steering wheel in a car. "Steer" also means "to stir", so the name also conveys the idea of a stirrer.
Steer was based on the aforementioned female spy from Mission: Impossible... the work to which this story paid homage to. The role was played by Yoshimi Naito-san. After consulting with Director Hayama, we made casting "action roles" our number one priority. Of course, it was also important that the actor was someone who could exude a cool aura. Yoshimi-san did all the action herself during the intense fight in the warehouse. She has a black belt in Kyokushin Karate, but has said that modern action scenes are still a challenge.
She had a lot of fun during action practice, and that's how this scene was created. She's so cool!
In the end, I think Steer was a little jealous that Ishirou, who once fought alongside her as a resident of the underworld, had now found someone he wanted to run with and was able to demonstrate his abilities in the light of day. I think that the more adult you are, the more you can empathize with this feeling.
By the way, during the script meeting there was a discussion about them calling each other by code names, and it turned into an improv comedy competition. An idea was put forward of using a cool fish name to match Ishirou's love of aquariums. Then someone suggested "Tuna and salmon," and the discussion took a different direction... In the end we decided not to go with fish names after all. It made me laugh just thinking about it, so I'll pay a tribute here. Tuna and salmon cannot be used.
You can't see clearly in the scene, but these are the ISA agents watching Steer at the end.

>We finally got a glimpse of why Taiya is obsessed with helping others. Is this all we're getting or will they show us more of what happened?
But why not just show it to us when he was first introduced? Then when we got to the teacher episode and we find out that she was dead already, it'd feel more tragic
>Other than Taiya, looks like Genba also sensed something was wrong with the the fake Shashiro.
It's so nice to have smart Genba back again
>The reason Taiya was so fixated on "screams" lied in an experience he had as a child. He heard the cry of a young child from the next room, and an irreversible incident occured. He blames himself for not helping despite hearing the screams.
I wonder what was happening during that. Sounds like child abuse, which is a bit dark for this story?
>In the scene Taiya's parents' faces were in the shadow and cannot be seen clearly, but the father was actually played by Mori Hirotsugu-san (suit actor of BoonRed), and the mother was played by Miyazawa Yuki-san (suit actor of Itashaa).
oh, those were Taiya's parents?
>You can't see clearly in the scene, but these are the ISA agents watching Steer at the end.
So why does the ISA agents contract out to other spies? So weird
Steer's fighting pose looked familiar
Edit:
You left out the part where her role probably is related to the muscle men from eps 6/17. It's her Ultraman Blazar costar:

Can't trick Taiya that easily.
The spy stuff with ishiro was cool, hope we get more of it.
Wonder who the actual final boss is gonna be outta Spindo and Tokoyari, really hope its Tokoyari, having a human final boss would be interesting, even if he does get some kind of monster form.

So according to Bandai’s TwitterX page, the episode had a brief appearance by Boonboom PatCar 1 Justice White ver, (a repaint themed around Japanese police cars) and Boonboom Safari Wild White ver. (A repaint themed around a panda)
My thoughts on this: When are the Cool Blue versions of the “Knight” Boonboom Cars making their cameo?
