Oh. Evil Boonboomger Robo has weird gloved hands (looks like Deco's?) when grasping the building for support. But in the next scene it's back to block hands lol

Feels like the best robo battle in a while, simply because there's a lot of stakes to this one

The Hashiriyan with their weird body part/animal pets is so weird. We're on the cool roof again

Again, the Three Seaters' story steals the show. Meanwhile, still waiting for Jou to have a story about him or for Mira to have a focus episode where she's actually the star

I had a lot of fun, but I don't think anything was quite a 5 for me. It's close though. The Three Seater story and mech battle was good. Grantu with his cool voice and design were introduced. But the recolored monster of the weeks were wasted and Speedor's completely random appearance was distracting

[Yaiba]

The Three Seaters are so precious. Deco and Itasha disbanding the group so Yalcar can move on to a better life, and Yalcar abandoning his dream and come back to help his friends in danger. If it wasn't for the fact that they are on the villain's side, they would have won when Yalcar returned and use their passionate finisher strike. Those are a classic victory flag for heroes. Screw the Fixers and Speedor, let the Three Seaters win lol!

I don't know why, but I found it hilarious that Naitou was furious the Three Seaters deployed Killer Robot without permission, again.

Gratsu Risk has a looong neck...

Speedor bumped into someone everytime he came to Earth. Last time it was Cannonborg. And speaking of Speedor's random appearance, it's an outright advertisement for the new DXRobo Universe toyline, where everything can combine with everything.

The Three Seaters
The name Three Seaters (Sansita) is a combination of "Sanshita"(三下) which means a low-ranking person, and a three-seater vehicle (3人乗りの車＝スリーシーター). Surprisingly, this might be the first time I've explained it. This was Matsui-san's idea from 104, and I remember being amazed at the time. The precision of this pun reaches Boondario's level of punning.

Let me also explain the episode title: "Underling's Oath".

Screenwriter Higuchi Tatsuto had a clear theme. The "Oath of the Peach Garden" from the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms": "We swear to heaven. Although we were born on different days, we pray to die on the same day, at the same time." It meant for brother-in-arms, even though not related by race or blood, were strongly bound together by the oath.

Episode 38 began with the Three Seaters taking an oath. The three members of Three Seaters come from different places, but with that oath they are bound together stronger than race or blood.


Yalcar tribe
The Yalcar tribe. We thought the "Yalcar" part was his name, but it's actually the name of his race. His personal name is Yayayai.

The fact that there are many Yaru-chans other than our Yaru-chan is something Tomioka Atsuhiro-sensei has been wanting to transcribe for a long time. Why do they race in the first place? And why do they absorb Gyasoline and make the monsters gigantic? Just who are the Yalcar tribe? That will be discussed another time.


The guitar band
The guitar band called themselves "Nasifee". The one holding the electric guitar looked like T Mizawa-san, and the one with the acoustic guitar looked like an old folk singer. I wonder if you still remember him? These two unusual duo, Aniki performed using an acoustic guitar and Cousin used an electric guitar. What does that mean? This part is so chaotic that even I don't really understand it, so don't ask. There's a reason for this too. Are there any bands that play both acoustic and electric guitars? The band "Nashifee," consisting of Aniki and Cousin, was thought to be based on the rock band THE ALFEE, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2024. Cousin looked exactly like electric guitarist Takamizawa Toshihiko. But according to Toei's official website, Aniki did not look like acoustic guitarist Sakazaki Kohnosuke, but rather he looked like the folk singer Minami Kosetsu, known for songs such as "Kandagawa"(神田川). The Gurumaa called themselves "Explosive Performer Brothers John & Bovi" (爆奏兄弟ジョン＆ボヴィ), which is thought to be a double motif of the Mini 4WD anime "Explosive Race Brothers Let's & Go!!" (爆走兄弟レッツ&ゴー) and the rock band "BonJovi."


Grantsu Risk
Grantsu Risk. Hashirian No. 2. Spindou's right-hand man.
All of these titles are enough to show his strength. He is the capable man who ran the Hashirian organisation while Spindou was on the prison planet. He landed on Earth before Spindou to eliminate all possible risks.

He is voiced by Tsutomu Isobe-san. In the toku world, he is best known for his role as Wolzard from Magiranger. His intense voice gives off an overwhelming sense of strength.

When he confirmed that Boondrio's alive, he didn't engage, opened his black umbrella and left. There was a cut where his enemy (Boonboomgers) was seen from the umbrella's point of view, which feels like a nod to Kingsman. Incidentally, Steer's pinky ring attack in the previous episode was also a Kingsman homage. We were able to see such wonderful direction in two episodes in a row.


Speedor
Speedor suddenly appeared! He seemed to have come to the Human World in pursuit of Weiwei, who caused trouble in the Machine World.

And it turns out Speedor and BunDi knew each other, and they combined into ByunByun Mach Robo Go-On Custom!

ちなみにサンシーターというチーム名は
下っ端を表す「三下」と、
3人乗りの車＝スリーシーター(そんなもん聞いたことないが)を掛けたものになっています。

意外と初めて解説したかも。

こちらは104の松井さんのアイディアで、
当時思わず「すげ〜」となったのを覚えています。
この駄洒落の精度、リアルブンドリオや…。

ここでサブタイトルを説明しておきましょう。

「三下の誓い」

「ワルの道をテッペン目指して3人一緒に突っ走る」
こんなセリフから始まった38話ですが、
今回脚本の樋口さんは明確にテーマとしていたものがあります。

それは三国志の“桃園の誓い”。
「我ら天に誓う。我ら生まれた日は違えども、死す時は同じ日、同じ時を願わん」の有名なあれです。
ハシリヤンという組織は、
様々な星の者たちが集まり結成されているゴロツキ集団です。
なのでもちろんサンシーターの3人も出身は異なります。

しかしサンシーターを結成した彼らは
種族や血族よりも強い誓いで結ばれているのです。

ヤルカーという存在がヤルちゃんだけでなく
たくさん存在しているということは冨岡先生がずっと描こうと温めていたネタでもあります。
そもそも彼らはなぜ走るのか、
そしてなぜギャーソリンを吸収し苦魔獣を巨大化させるのか。
ヤルカー族とは一体…。
それはまたいずれ語られるとして、
今回はどこか鼻につくウェイウェイに
みんなのアイドルヤルちゃんがスカウトされてしまったのです。

エレキを持っているのはどこからどう見てもT見沢さんですよね。
あ、こいつナシフィーって名乗ってる！！

アコギを持っている方は往年のフォークシンガーみがありますね。
あなたはもう忘れたかしら、な感じの。

そんな変わったデュオの二人は
アニキのアコギとイトコのエレキを使って演奏をしていたわけです(？)。
どういうことかって？
もう僕もここら辺はカオスすぎてよく分からないので聞かないでください。

これも一応理由はありまして…。
アコギとエレキが共存するバンドってなんかあるっけ？という話が出た脚本会議。

Pixiv
苦魔獣の元となった楽器の持ち主であるアニキとイトコの浪漫派フォークバンド「ナシフィー」の元ネタは2024年にデビュー50周年を迎えたロックバンドTHE ALFEEと思われる。
イトコの見た目はそのまんまエレキギター担当の高見沢俊彦だが、東映公式サイトによればアニキの見た目はアコースティックギター担当の坂崎幸之助ではなく、「神田川」などでおなじみのフォーク歌手の南こうせつみがあるとのこと。

アコギグルマー・ジョンとエレキグルマー・ボヴィの名乗った「爆奏兄弟ジョン＆ボヴィ」は車モチーフトイ「ミニ四駆」のアニメ「爆走兄弟レッツ&ゴー!!」とロックバンド「BonJovi」のダブルモチーフと思われる。

ブンブン曰く、彼の名前はグランツ・リスク。
ハシリヤンNo.2。大番頭。スピンドーの右腕。
どの肩書きも彼の強さを示すのには十分でしょう。
彼はスピンドーが監獄惑星の中にいた間
ハシリヤンという組織を切り盛りしていた敏腕でもあります。

お声を担当されているのは磯部勉さん。
特撮ではウルザードの印象が強いでしょうか。
激渋なお声で圧倒的強者感を出してくださっております。

彼は地球に向かうスピンドーより一足先に地球に降り立ち、
想定される全てのリスクを排除しにきたのです。

しかしブンドリオの生存を確認すると
ブンブンジャーと交戦はせず黒い傘を広げ去っていきます。

この時に傘目線から敵(ブンブンジャー)を捉えるカットが入りますが、これはキングスマンリスペクトを感じますね。

ちなみに前回のステアのピンキーリング攻撃もキングスマンオマージュ。
偶然2話連続で素敵な演出を拝ませていただきました。

おそらくマシンワールドで悪さをしたウェイウェイを追ってヒューマンワールドにやってきたようです。
そしてなんとスピードルとビュンディーは顔見知りだったようで、
あっちゅーまにビュンビュンマッハーロボゴーオンカスタムの完成です。

T̶e̶a̶m̶ R̶o̶c̶k̶e̶t̶ The Three Seaters continue to be the best characters in the show, and I'm not ashamed to admit that the attempted sacrifice for YalCar's sake brought a tear to my eye. Only reason I can't give this one a 5 is because of the blatant product placement with Speedor randomly showing up. If they had saved Sosuke's cameo until around this point in the series, I'd be more lenient.
