So I looked up what else the guy who played the new RyusoulRed had done in the past to try and figure out what the joke in his casting was. The most notable thing I can find is two seasons on Abarenbo Shogun in the 90s, so I’m guessing they’re going with a “samurai = knights” joke?

Green's backstory reminds me of my favorite manga, ReLIFE, so I'm hoping he stays interesting for the rest of the series.

Oh I loved the anime of that. I didn't even make that connection until you said it, but now I can't unsee it.
