Re: Media reflecting reality
Kind of sounds like a case of, "Damned if you do, damned if you don't." I agree that everybody needs to improve their net security systems, but I'm also against government intervention in said plan.

Where are the aliens to tell us right from wrong and share their tech?

Thank God I live in good ol'Britannia, though I have this worried feeling that useless, moody Prime Minister will take a similar approach to 'protecting the network'.

The aliens probably consider revealing that kind of information a risk to their own security. Xenophobia is not an exclusive trait of humans.IijumiSoukai wrote:Where are the aliens to tell us right from wrong and share their tech?
This "cyber czar" will have limited effectiveness due to the inability for anyone to completely control the network.

Makes sense.
If we had their tech, soon...we'd have their pot.
Seriously, how could you "control" something like the Internet. It's one thing to deny access, but...eh.

The liberal hippie tree hugger idiots will always find a way, especially now that their messiah is in office.IijumiSoukai wrote:Seriously, how could you "control" something like the Internet. It's one thing to deny access, but...eh.

Re: Media reflecting reality
Damn those hippies and their ganja and all that nonsense about equal rights and shrinking the gap between the rich and the poor. Oh well, the conservatives had their fun in the sun during the 80's and the last eight years so it all balances out. Plus this probably wont' be too effective, China already has an army of hackers and they probably already know everything.

Wow, Drinkitdown hates liberals, no wonder he's so charming and well balanced. Do you ever think before you talk?
I don't know why you think your hate speech merits any worth, whatsoever. Learn to form a persuasive argument instead of tossing around brainless insults

It was a joke, geniuses.
I do think the government can't do shit worth a damn, though.
....decreasing the gap between the rich and the poor? You dont REALLY think hes going to do that, do you?

Re: Media reflecting reality
This and that would be different things. Anyway, with all the other forum members that just mindlessly repeat the things they hear, it wouldn't have been obvious that you were joking

Re: Media reflecting reality
Japan has a "cyber clean center," set up in 2006, to protect its government computers from attacks, including a decoy computer to analyze possible viruses, Kazuaki Nakakoshi, an information security official at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, said Friday.
