Riiiiiiight... if you were talking about Don Frye/Captain Gordon, maybe I'd think you were on to something. Kazama, not so much. :P

But alas, this really has nothing to do with @deep, does it?

Kane Kosugi's hot and he gets the best one-liners.
Plus he kicks ass.

We can even apply the "Ne, karette sugoi wairudo janai?" to him. =P

Yeah, but I think that's the way @deep should make one feel. I mean, it's so good, I'm surprised no one has made a religion out of it yet.

LOL!
Careful what you wish for. The site will be over run with them.

Though I agree, this is one of the best dorama's ever. I'd recommend Ikebukuro West Gate Park (IWGP) for anyone that liked @Deep; however it is more adult themed than @Deep was.

I've been meaning to buy the movie, so I can see how it stacks up against the series. I just... keep forgetting to order it. >.>;

I was watching the show again but with director's cut version and SP. (Had no idea that I was missing SP that whole time.)

BUT I got four questions, I hope my dear toku fans would answer for me.

1. What did Imz meant when she said, "Umm... Are you really Daruma-san?"

She have been saying that for about 3 eps. I did not understand the meaning behind that and that have been bugging me.

2. Is Daruma doing mimic correctly?

3. What noises did he make when someone mention the word "pig?"
I am assuming this (oink) since everyone tried to cover his mouth.

4. What is Japanese for "Alright! Planning time!" And what does that look like when Page stutters in Japanese? (Ya know, the Japanese for A-a-a-alright! P-p-planning time!) Just curious on my side.

Anyone mind answering those four questions for me? Especially that first question since that have been driving me crazy!

ah... Silentwolfdog... quite the observant one aren't you?

I haven't finished the series yet.. but I can answer most of the questions...

1. I am not sure... about that one but I'm sure that someone else can answer it for you.

2. That would be a no. His mimicry is not very good...

3. And yes that noise for the most part that Daruma makes when he is called a pig (or even when the word is mentioned) is the Japanese sound that a pig makes.. though I think it mixes some of the American sound too... not totally sure.

4. I do know what it is.. but I can't remember how to spell it off the top of my head... but I do know that for the most part he stutters on the first sound of the first word a lot... and the last couple sounds of the last word...

I'm sorry I can't answer all the questions... but as I stated before I haven't finished... torrenting it takes forever... but if someone knows the answer for questions 1 and 4... that would help you and me out....
If I am alright... then there is no need to worry about anybody else...

So just sit back... relax... and let your sins be purged from your wretched soul....

>(Had no idea that I was missing SP that whole time.)

That's because we only subbed the special for the DVD version

>1. What did Imz meant when she said, "Umm... Are you really Daruma-san?"

From what I hear, this is a reference to 20th century boys a manga/movie in the making

>2. Is Daruma doing mimic correctly?

From what I can tell, Daruma is doing mimicry for comedians from a long time ago, his material is dated at best.

>3. What noises did he make when someone mention the word "pig?"
I am assuming this (oink) since everyone tried to cover his mouth.

He kind of snorts, I guess it's more like a pig squel than an oink

>4. What is Japanese for "Alright! Planning time!" And what does that look like when Page stutters in Japanese? (Ya know, the Japanese for A-a-a-alright! P-p-planning time!) Just curious on my side.

I believe it's "y-y-y-yoshi sankusen kaishi"
