Garo -Gold Storm- Shou 17 released

Another solid episode. I don't know if that backstory is true or not, but man does it tie everything together if it does. Also, I thought they did a really good job establishing Jinga and Amily's fall to darkness. Ryuuzaki's story from Kiba was okay, but it was a bit dissatisfying. This though, having your kid killed by villagers and going on a murder spree, makes sense. (Although who didn't see the kid dying from a mile away?)

Everyone felt like they had something to do in this episode. Ryume versus Jinga was great (Geki VS Decade?).

Gald and Daigo are both running contestants for most gullible sap of the year. What happened to your earlier prudence, Daigo?!

Remember kids, self-destruction necklaces are useless.

I'm so happy that Gold Storm is as good as they promised. I admit, I had my doubts before, but this is probably one of my favorite Garo TV storylines yet.

They were told to do one thing - wait - so of course they do something that ends up horribly backfiring on them.

I’m sure the story is true. As you said, it ties everything together very neatly. I also have little doubt that Amily told them her sob story because she needed someone - hopefully Ryuuga - to pick up the mirror so she had a reason for them to set her free. Compared to other series, this group seems awfully prone to falling to obvious manipulations.

Another great episode, and the backstory was great. I am surprised that Gald gets angry because "They killed my parents" instead of "My parents used to burn kids due to a stupid superstition".

Although the fact that they gave Amily the brush was stupid. Not because it was obviously a trap, that's something we see as viewers, but why would they want to get Ryuuga out of the mirror when they had just established that someone MUST go inside the mirror if they want to defeat Jinga?

I am liking Ryuume a lot, I hope she kicks some ass in the movie too.

It said that Jinga and Amily wandered around villages killing people, so his parents probably weren't involved in the murdering kids bit.

Can I just say how nice it is to have the dad go crazy for once? You so rarely see that, usually it's just the mom.

Almost makes up for the 2 kidnapping of the wimmenz in this episode (Amily's a hostage, it counts)

Such a good episode. The fight between Ryume and Jinga, the past story between Amily/Jinga, Ryuuga being trapped.

Never trust Amily and mirror. Kouga knows.

Does it count when a woman kidnaps another woman since Ryume did capture Amily?

Still the woman gets captured. It's a little subverted but it's still there

Yeah I saw her betrayal coming from a mile away. I'm sure the story is true. And I'm also sure the human in her is capable of crying. Doesn't stop her from being a horror though.

That said, really villagers? You kill a stranger's kid, and you are surprised said stranger goes on a killing spree? What did you THINK was going to happen?

The whole reason they sacrificed the kid was because they assumed the parents would get killed by the monsters. It makes sense in a way.

In a way, but a the same time it really totally doesn't.

Not that I condone going on a killing spree, mind you. But I probably would have done the same.

What do you mean it doesn't? If they thought the parents were going to survive, they wouldn't have needed to sacrifice the boy in the first place since the monster would be dead. It's pretty solidly one way or the other.

I can understand the villagers point of view, but instead of a sacrificing a random child, sacrifice one of the village children like they always did. I actually thought, Jinga and Amily were the Makai priest and knight they mentioned in the first series. It is sad they were such a happy family to get it taken away so violently. Although, I do not condone what they did, I think anyone in their position probably would do the same thing. I believe the story, because I think it is too random not to be true; that speak probably touched the human side that still exists. I really think they, Jinga and Amily, would prefer to die.

Hmm, kill one of their own kids or kill the kid of the guys who are probably dead. Decisions, decisions.
