Re: Favorite Power Ranger Series
I'm going to go with Power Rangers Ninja Storm. After Disney took over the series, Ninja Storm and SPD were the only ones they got right...well, RPM is also getting there. It's not speculation, but more or less my opinion. ^-^

Re: Favorite Power Ranger Series
It's a three way tie, Time Force, Dino Thunder and SPD.
Time Force because of it darker story's and more mature feel.
Dino Thunder because of Kira, Tommy and the fact it it had decent story's.
SPD because it was an overall Solid series with alot of articles of note:
-Largest ranger roster to date
-First Female Red Ranger
-First Jewish Ranger
-First to have an episode set in Japan
-First series to have a ranger use another's morpher
-First series to have a Blue ranger promoted to Red and a Green to Blue and then later Red
-First season to have an All American-Made team with no Sentai Counterpart
-First series to have rangers turn evil on their own volition without outside influence.
-First (and only) season to have it's battlizer show up in a Sentai Series.
-First series where a Ranger is the child of Previous one (it's heavily implied that Sky is Wesley Collins/Time Force Red's son)

Re: Favorite Power Ranger Series
If I'm not mistaken, didn't our season of either Time Force or Powers Rangers in Space do better than the Japanese counterpart? It was brought to my attention on a forum.

Define, "do better". There's a lot of stuff to be taken into account with that phrase.Tetra_Urataros wrote:If I'm not mistaken, didn't our season of either Time Force or Powers Rangers in Space do better than the Japanese counterpart? It was brought to my attention on a forum.

Re: Favorite Power Ranger Series
For me, it will always be the MMPR's with their first cast. I watched it up until Turbo, with Justin.. which is when I stopped. I couldn't really get to much into it anymore after that point. I did watch Overdrive, and SPD.. both where kind of cheesy, and while SPD was slightly better, I got to annoyed with the "Hiyaaaaa!" when he was walking.. and the screaming when he was shooting, and stuff. After the 5000000 "YAAAAAA!" when his 4 wheeler jumped over the canyon and shot the same mobs for the 12th time, I usually just turned that episode off (I turned a lot of episodes off).
So, I guess the old school, since that is what I was watching .. I still have fond memories of hoping the evil Green Ranger would win. Sitting in the school cafeteria thing and watching it before class was always fun.

It has to be SPD and Ninja Storm.
The primary vivid sounds and colors supported smelling the pseudo perfume of tomorrow's wind.

I know its not over yet, but as it stands, RPM has to be the best. Then Timeforce, then Space.

Re: Favorite Power Ranger Series
-First Jewish Ranger
No. In the Zeo holiday episode, one character was revealed to be Jewish. I wanna say it was Rocky, but don't quote me on that.
-First series to have a ranger use another's morpher
I feel like this has been done before, but I can't think of the instance.
-First series to have a Blue ranger promoted to Red and a Green to Blue and then later Red
It was not the first green to red, that was Tommy. And I don't feel this is very noteworthy in the first place.
-First series where a Ranger is the child of Previous one (it's heavily implied that Sky is Wesley Collins/Time Force Red's son)
Not necessarily. The A-Squad demonstrated that S.P.D. took cues from past Ranger teams in their suit designs, if we are to assume that this even takes place in the same universe as Space and Time Force. Add the fact that it would be a waste of money to make an entirely new suit just for a picture that's only seen briefly and the details that the helmet had an SPD logo on it (Time Force is already a police agency, and they have much better technology than any that existed in the year that picture was taken, so no reason to join S.P.D.), the man in the suit didn't look a thing like Wes (not even aged, though granted it's a lot easier to grab an extra and stuff him in a suit than hunt down an old actor just for a picture when the little kids won't recognize him anyway), and Sky's last name was not Collins (so if he was meant to be Wes's son, it was a spur of the moment thing rather than planned all along), and the probability of Sky being Wes's son are slim, at best.

Re: Favorite Power Ranger Series
My favourite is Jungle Fury....NOT!!!
It just so happens that the PR series that I hated the most is adapted from the SS series that I liked the most. Well, I haven't watched many PR nor SS series so I can't really say much...
The last PR series that I watched almost all of the episodes is Lost Galaxy, which happens to be my favourite, next to In Space, of course.
I find that I actually like the series where the villains are more serious and menacing, rather than being jokers. It gives a real sense of threat for the rangers IMO. Or at least the villainness is a hot chic... Astronema, Trakeena, Tenaya 7, etc. Camille? Pass (Mele pwns here 1000x)
After LG, my interest in PR gradually decrease. They're good, it's just that the motivation to watch every episode is not as strong anymore.
I watched the first couple of JF episodes, but I can't really stomach its contents, which draws me to watch Gekiranger instead. So glad I did.
RPM seems promising. The way they (especially Ziggy) poke fun at themselves and PR/SS in general (especially Go-onger) is hillarious. As a matter of opinion, it's better than Go-onger because they remove the things that I don't like about Go-onger. It's worth a consideration.
