Re: super hero time new time slot
i mean just in case.
perhaps by Asahi moving it 1 hour later than the usual schedule, means the one who record/sub/qc located in Japan should reschedule their plan and so on.
ya i mean like that kind of thing.
it's good if everything works as good as usual thou

Does this put Sentai up against One Piece now? That'd be less than ideal.

Re: super hero time new time slot
Don't forget that Kamen Rider would go up against Dragonball Super as well. It really doesn't make any sense to do this since both One Piece and Dragonball Super are Toei shows as well. Since Precure isn't moving, Kamen Rider has a weird lead-in. At least Heybot would die so there is a bit of good news because of this.Catastrophe wrote:Does this put Sentai up against One Piece now? Re: super hero time new time slot
Why is the time slot changing? Is it getting the Friday night time slot of doom? Is Sentai/Kamen Rider doing so poorly that it's getting cancelled at last?

All I've seen is that they're moving the toku later, to make way for a new Sunday morning talk show or something

If you're being moved instead of being a mover, you're in a position of weakness.

Or they are confidant that the merchandise will sell just as well regardless of time slot.
No more clock on Sentai TV caps now!

Super Sentai Changing Timeslots to 9:30am
So, uh, I don't even know what to say about this. Super Sentai is apparently moving time slots after a 20 year run at its current 7:30 slot. TV-Asahi is launching a new morning news show, so the entire morning block is getting reshuffled. More shocking, Kamen Rider is now the lead-in instead of Super Sentai, as it'll get the 9:00am slot.

Starting in October, Noriyuki Higashiyama of the idol group Shonentai will star in a brand-new Sunday news program, currently titled "Sunday Live." It will be the first time Higashiyama will act as a newscaster.
The show will air Sunday mornings at 5:50am, and run for 2 hours and 40 minutes as a live broadcast. The show is being advertised as a large scale project, with a theme of "easy to grasp" topics, as it airs early on Sundays.
Tv-Asahi seems to want to rally against shows like Nihon Terebi's Juuichi and TBS' Sunday Morning, which air at 7 AM and 8 AM respectively. (The time of Tv-Asahi youth programming block.)
Higashiyama, having only acted in dramas before, is delighted to take up this challenge of a weekly live broadcast, and Tv-Asahi is aiming to make him the "face of Sunday mornings."
This new program means the kids block will be moved forward in air time.
The new Kamen Rider Series will air at 9:00.
Uchuu Sentai Kyuranger will follow Kamen Rider's lead in, at 9:30.
Daimei no nai Ongakukai will move to 10:00 AM Saturday mornings. Both Heybot! and Tsumai no Diet will have ended their runs by then.

Re: super hero time new time slot
It's been kinda taken over by Aikatsu anyway.
Re: super hero time new time slot
Alright, so I'm not going crazy. I knew I had submitted a thread on this subject, and then I couldn't find it.
(For the record, I'd never think to look in the Feedback forum for SHT scheduling news. Heck, this should be front page news)
Regardless, you are right that it's a position of weakness. But a kids show is generally not going to be able to fetch the kind of audiences that a news show aimed at adults can, especially when Japan has a rather striking shortage of children.

Well if the other article says that Precure is at 8:30, I'd believe it. The specific article I found didn't say Precure was going away; it just didn't mention anything at all.takenoko wrote:So no more Precure?
So riddle me this: what's the current situation in Japan regarding dedicated kids networks? Is Japan (finally?) going the same way as the US, shrinking their broadcast blocks and shifting more to dedicated networks? After all, this is very similar to what happened to US kids blocks about 15-20 years ago: they made way for morning news shows, and then they were gone entirely.takenoko wrote:If you're being moved instead of being a mover, you're in a position of weakness.

Re: super hero time new time slot
I'll move it to Other Heroes then.
I honestly don't know. I haven't paid attention to American cartoons in a while outside of My Little Pony, which I just watch through the Internet.
