It's crazy. They're pulling the new Yakuza Studio game because he is the model/voices a character and I think patching out his voice in the Japanese release of KHIII because of it.

Nobuhiro Watsuki (Roruni Kenshins mangaka) was arrested and charged for possessing child pornography and was fined 200 K yen and was put on hiatus for a while (but the manga is back being published).

I generally try my best not to judge other cultures by the rules of my own, but Japan & Korea's celebrity stuff is even more toxic than ours in the west and that's a pretty scary thought considering celebrity stuff here is pretty fucked up too.

I dunno, on one hand I feel like the opioid epidemic is fueled by the broken pharmacy system in America more than illegal drugs.

If someone is addicted to drugs, Japan's way of helping this person is by kicking them to the curb and publicly ostracizing them. Seems like a double punishment? Maybe just let people do what they want to in the privacy of their homes as long as it's not hurting themselves or others?

I find it funny, because in western cultures its the celebrities that get away with doing all these drugs all the time.
