Garo Gekkou no Tabibito in Montreal
I'm thinking of going up to Montreal to check it out. Anyone want to meet up? I'm thinking of leaving on the 28th and coming back on the 31st. The movie will be on the 30th at 6:30 so I can plan for doing other stuff around the city on the other days.
Edit: Again, I would appreciate not being murdered on this trip. Thanks!

Damn it! I said no serial killers!
Edit: So what's there to do in Montreal? Also, I speak no French, so I'll need a lot of handholding lol.

Have fun and enjoy the movie while in Montreal. Will the cinemas in Montreal release the movie in Japanese language while the subs are in French or release the movie totally in French dub?

Hello all,
Long time lurker and fan, first time poster here.
All I can say is wow! I don't want to say much so as to not spoil anything but it was definitely worth seeing!
Did you end up going Takenoko? What did you think if so?
P.S. You may have seen me, I was the only one in a wheelchair

Sadly I didn't end up going. How was the event in general! I'm envious!
Wish we could have met up in person.

Ah That's really too bad that you couldn't make it. Amemiya Keita was there, he talked a bit before the movie and held a photo/signing session after. Sadly I had to leave right after (stupid adapted transportation, I even brought a bluray I would have liked to have signed but my transportation arrived and they don't wait at all, ugh) but many fans were talking to him and asking him to sign stuff.
The movie itself was great though! It was amazing to see 3 generations of garo at once ( I don't think I'm spoiling anything here because they are on the promotional pamphlets and all) plus a return of many great characters including Gonza! I think they managed to blend the cast of both generations quite well. The main villain was definitely a surprise though!
Ah yes, and I definitely prefer the title "Moonbow Traveler" as it makes more sense plot-wise than the official "Under the Moonbow"

Sharing some stuff sent over from Andre and Samuel:
“Hello TV-Nihon
My name is André Dubois (the fat guy on the right) one of the co-founder and programmer of the FANTASIA FILM FESTIVAL in Montreal. I’ve been a loyal TV-Nihon fans from over 10 years. At fantasia I’m the programmer, so I’ve been trying for years to bring tokusatsu films or series like Ultraman. This year, I was fortunate to have Garo’s newest film, UNDER THE MOONBOW, along with creator Keita Amemiya as the special guest. The film itself is wonderful and it ties to the first series. It features the original GARO, Kouga, and his son, Raiga, along with other characters from the earlier series. You can look forward to it… it does not disappoint. Mr. Amemiya was a fantastic guest and I’ll see him again tonight where he will give a master class and talk on his work at the festival. “
The next two pics are from Samuel who told me about the movie and festival:
Thank you both you guys for sharing! Sad I couldn’t make it this year but hope to in the future!
