This is a real Brian Ashcraft post, but following the bubble tea boom, an amusement area was opened. So like, it's ball themed, I guess?
Did something happen to make bubble tea popular in Japan again? I've heard from a native that they've had bubble tea for years, so what changed?

It became more popular outside of Japan as well? Would that cause a resurgence?

Re: Bubble tea park opens in Japan
Just like recently within the past year bubble tea has really exploded in popularity. It's partially the Instagram culture that's taken off and partially because a lot of new food culture is coming from Taiwanese/Korean street food. Bubble tea has been booming in Taiwan (apparently? can anyone collaborate, cause I only know from media coverage) and also recently become a popular festival food (again, Instagram).
I saw a place about a month ago that was a bit out of the way but still had at least 10 people in line on the weekend.

Re: Bubble tea park opens in Japan
I thought bubble tea was created in Taiwan. I felt like I first started noticing bubble tea getting real big here like 3-4 years ago.
