Who would YOU like to see in tokusatsu?

Are you a fan of some person in the Japanese entertainment industry (be it an actor, idol, voice actor, wrestler, musician, etc.) that you think would be a perfect fit for a mainstream Tokusatsu show like Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Ultraman, or Garo? If you are, you can post here with pictures, qualifications, and relevant experience of who you want to see in mainstream tokusatsu. (As for qualifications, "they're hot" is acceptable lol.) It can be guys or girls and the parts you want them to have do not have to be the top star of the show.

The only picks I would discourage would be someone who has already been in a major role in a mainstream tokusatsu. Also, remember that Toei is cheap, and might not want to use someone who is already super famous.

If you want, you can also list disadvantages as well.

My first pick would be Yajima Maimi.



Qualifications and relevant experiance:

Was a teen idol for around 15 years (ZYX and C-ute).

Has put out 12 solo photo (bikini) books.

Did a notorious photoshoot for Up 2 Boy Magazine with the girl who later played Kamen Rider Nadeshiko, Mano Erina.

Qualifications and relevant experience:

Had a two episode arc in Ryusoulger.

Was lead voice actress in Onagai My Melody Kirara.

Had a local TV only anime inspired by her which she voice acted for (Kaitou Reinya).

Has released nine photo books.

Was a teen idol, then a pop metal singer (Morning Musume., Lovendor).

Works constantly in stage musicals including some with stage combat.

I would like to see her as the Big Evil of a Kamen Rider or Super Sentai, one that acts tough but is revealed to just be bluffing at the end and was a shy monster who pretended to be tough but things got out of hand.

What part should she play?

First all season long female Red Ranger, female Kamen Rider, or Makai Priest. Toei could save money by hiring her since she could make her own outfits, do her own stunts and be her own suit actor.

Wow, this is fun to discuss hypothetically. Well, here is my desired voice actress. Endo Aya


Experience? I would say she already had many years for voice acting. So far... (or maybe I overlook something), I don't think or even found her doing any voice acting for tokusatsu characters. Known for voicing Sheryl Nome (Macross Frontier). Qualification wise, hurm... I never even thought about it before but if I were to put it in my own words, her voice is sexy and hot when she play adult women characters. I couldn't get that voice out of my head.

A man, this time. Shimono Hiro.



Experience, likewise, just like Aya, he is exposed with voice acting for many years too and similarly, I didn't found any of his roles been involved with Tokusatsu. He played otaku characters like Katsuragi Keima (The World God only knows) and Oozora Hiro (Danball Senki W). Me personally, I do like his high pitch voice that seems friendly and childish? I know its weird to put play geeky characters in Tokusatsu since there are hardly a few of them but maybe there is a way around that.

My second choice for male voice actor would be Matsuoka Yoshitsugu.



Experience, as said for the two people above. Best known for Kirigaya Kazuto/Kirito (Sword Art Online) and Yukihira Soma (Shokugeki no Soma). Qualification, a serious and mature lead character, I guess?

There's more but I think for the male characters, I like these two voice actors and this voice actress. I am not really sure how would you qualify famous but Kamiya Hiroshi (Shou Lonpou), Nakamura Yuuichi (Beet J Stag), Miyano Mamoru (Ultraman Zero), Namikawa Daisuke (Speedor) felt overused cause I heard their voices like literally everywhere for popular animes.

Oh, this guy. Yeah, he's pretty annoying as a villain but I think it grown on me. Makes me wonder why he was not Amatsu Gai LOL

If i'm being honest, the majority of non-toku japanese dramas i've seen already have toku actors in them and that's why i've checked them out in the first place.

From a meta perspective, i'd love if Fuka Koshiba from GAGAGA became a sentai heroine down the line somewhere. she'd probably be really good at playing a bubbly pink like Toq5 or DekaPink too.



From a non-meta perspective, Shota Matsuda would probably be good at playing a cool blue or a secondary rider (he'd probably be super expensive though, so this is unrealistic)



Also in a completely self-indulgent highly unlikely scenario that i'm probably the only person who wants: Ayame Misaki playing a badass female rider. Who in a shock aversion of the female rider curse doesn't die in the end like she does in literally every film or show i've seen her in. (or multiple times over and over again like in two particular shows).
