I didn't actually know that, the official Instagram announced it, along with this sweet anniversary image:
There was also a second announcement stating that, starting this Friday, 2 episodes of the original series will be uploaded and available for one week on the official Youtube channel. The channel will also have a livestream event at a to-be-determined date in November.

They usually have Garo Fest in November so I guess it's just a virtual event this year

It's great.
I still find it interesting that after the original and TV special wrapped up, it seemed like that was it until the movie and 2nd series just totally energised it and we've had stuff almost every year since.

I still need to get into GARO. I've tried twice to watch it and both times given up after a few episodes due to boredom. I really WANT to like it though.
Seen:
Super Sentai: Fiveman onwards
Kamen Rider: Ichigou-Skyrider, all the Heisei/Reiwa series except the American shows.
Precure: DokiDoki-Go Pri
Metal Heroes: Gavan
Other: Spiderman, Power Rangers

I will admit, the first season is a bit of a slow burn until the last act. You have these single episodes that slowly drip feed the lore and setting to you and the CGI does look a touch dated now. It is worth it though. Then you can watch anything and you'll understand exactly what is going on because all the basic rules of the universe still apply.
