The Kougaiga symbol is just the Kouga school kanji on top of the Iga school kanji. The word Kougaiga is literally Kouga+Iga

Is this another porn series? I'm still blown away by the quality of the suits in these shows. God I wish these were proper full series.

Now, they would really have something if the spores ate away at the body from the inside and turned the human into a zombie (like Ophiocordyceps unilateralis).

One thing I forgot to mention is that it bothers me that the symbol seems to have 3 dots on top of its symbol. Since those three dots aren't on the Kouga kanji. I dunno, but it just looks like a mistake to me

The series itself is not porn howewr the last ep will be and as usual without males since they are regular

I have not seen the game or TV series. On the other hand Ophiocordyceps unilateralis attacks fire ants and turns them into zombies that seek a high moist place and then they bite something to anchor themselves there. Then they die and a giant mushroom erupts from their head. A no point do the zombies become violent. In some cases, other workers will see an infected ant acting odd and they will escort the infected ant away from the colony.

If the same action happened to a human the process would take much longer than the four-seven days for an ant and the human would probably resemble someone with schizophrenia or dementia.

Yes, but a cordyceps zombie is the complete opposite of a Hollywood zombie.

I've nev4er been a fan of Hollywood-style ninjas, so this one has to be graded on a bit of a curve based on how it holds up to the other two shows.

For once the MotW looks decent, but I literally finished watching an old CJUGames playthrough of Darkwoods a few hours ago that involved a swamp inhabited by mushroom men (humans that have sprouted mushrooms all over their bodies and gone feral), so the thee probably g me morethan the costume quality. I kind of wish he had a few little mushrooms sprouting here and there, but overall, nicely made and it moves very organically (no pun intended).

Okay, so Seira's outfit's pretty cute and actually kind of makes sense for once, but I really feel bad for her. I mean, the Double Dragons get full armour and all she gets are two pauldrons. I guess it's easier to rip it off during the porn ep, but still...

Also, Yellow's electricity, so why is he trying to do close combat? It may be more traditional for ice to be a ranged (usually bow) fighter, but you've got friggin' lightning powers! No wonder he's a terrible fighter, whereas red actually looks and acts like a brawler.

I'm guessing the three marks (which remind me of wedge marks in Sanskrit) represent the three Chosen Warriors. It would make sense since Giga does play on a lot of toku tropes.

There are technically three classes of zombie: the Romero zombie (undead brain eaters), Hoodoo zombies (real life victims of brainwashing and nerve toxins), and plague zombies. Plague zombies are the most popular in Hollywood these days, and they range from disease (I am Legend) to parasites (The Last of Us). It's just that Hollywood is so saturatged with zombie flicks that it's easy to miss the ones that are based on real life diseases/parasites.

That's what I figured, but it bothers me from a linguistic level since three dots on a kanji is an actual radical which would change what a kanji meant.
It makes the Kouga 甲賀 kanji look like this 畄 or this one 単 almost

Maybe this is GIGA's waay of poking fun at TOEI's constant use of Engrish... But yeah, it's an unfortunate design flaw that could've been fixed pretty easily.

This is surprisingly short for a first episode. Not even 8 minutes if you cut out the next episode preview. How many episodes are there supposed to be, again?

Anyhow, I feel like Takenoko hit all the high points here, so I don't have a lot to add. It's not quite Dinnovator quality, but it's entertaining enough. And it's nice to see them fighting outside in a new location.

Looks like another 4 parter. Feels a bit on the filler side of things. Hopefully they're putting more effort into the followup to this series

For what it's worth, it's a different writer/director pairing than either Dinnovator or Wakusaver. So who knows what this will bring.

Is that doctor the first civilian character in these three series?

The fighting was... lackluster- I mean, the punches were so weak!

Maybe... maybe it's a good thing this episode was very short
