I mean, I loved Ex-Aid, I loved Zero-One, I'm excited! Especially after doodoo Revice

I'm sure some people aren't happy about Takahashi back - the shows he writes definitely are divisive from who I've interacted with before, and he does tend to be very samey with how he writes but idk

At least with me, there's something special about being attracted to the same stories - having comfort with familiar tales of heroes, villains, redemption, life, humanity....I like those beats

And if it DOES end up tying in more closely with his previous shows (and perhaps Faiz too), I'm all for it!

I admit, I'm impressed that they were able to reveal it officially before the low resolution magazine scans got started. I kind of like the suit; the half-and-half aesthetic feels a bit odd (kinda reminds me of Build), but outside that and some weird kneecaps I see it as a win.

(Also... Kamen Rider with a sniper rifle. If I had a new rider bingo card, that wouldn't have been on it.)

Interesting that this is another Takahashi and the poster has "GAME START" off on one side. The premise does feel kind of like Ex-Aid plus Ryuki, except with less battle royale. This could explore some interesting hero ideas (who actually wants to be a hero vs. who's doing the right thing for the wrong reason?).

There is another interesting point about the crew this time. For those of you who like actions, Fujita Satoshi (藤田慧) is in charge as the action director rather than Watanabe Jun (渡辺淳).

Big reveal at 10am next Sunday, so right after Super Hero Time. If all those silhouettes are Riders that's 7 right out of the gate. I assume the one with horns is Kamen Rider Buffa, since he's already confirmed thanks to us getting promo shots of his toys. The guys sitting in the top right could be villains though.

Main takeaways:

4 main Riders are Geats, Buffa, Tycoon and Nago. Nago is a girl, she and Nago have really basic suits, as do the other Riders they've not talked about yet in the poster.

Do we have confirmed spelling for Tycoon? Because tycoon is actually a loan word in English, it's from the Japanese 大君　(taikun) meaning liege lord/shogun/emperor etc. It could be they're using it in the original meaning rather than the English bastardization

I don't think so, but I can't see why you wouldn't spell it the English way even if it is meant to be closer to the original Japanese. Not like the Japanese don't bastardise the meaning of foreign words all the time. It's basically their バイト to do that.

I applaud them for their creative names and creative suit design. Truly they must have taken seconds.
