The hand wasn't there when they entered the tower. Leona is getting more suspicious. She's probably the one who dropped it there?
What if Mikitani was somehow scared into running back to the mansion, maybe with a speaker or something playing some weird phantom noises? He could have been killed halfway back, which means the time needed for the culprit would've been reduced. Then when everyone went back to the tower, someone (presumably Leona since she was the one at the back and the one who "noticed" the hand) dropped the hand there.
I'm thinking the groans are from the old man. He might just be the one who dragged Kindaichi in.

Where is this performance being held if it's so remote that a guy has to stay the night since they can't go back down the trolley?
Why do they keep making keys that can't be duplicated in Kindaichi?
That little candle lit all those windows? And it's seen from a distance that's a 5 min run away? How good are those little candles?
