Not being in Japan, I (obviously) had no idea Toei was even holding a poll like that. Do we know what other scenes were up for consideration?
And merchandise, eh? Does anyone know what they ended up releasing?

P-bandai released a line of slightly overpriced Izu-themed sundries including t-shirts, hand mirrors, handkerchiefs, tote bags, zipper pouches, purses, necklaces, wallets, and a very cute pc cushion. Dunno if there was anything specifically due to the poll or if it was all in the pipeline regardless
