Retired tokusatsu actors

Post by decade368990 »

So, lately I have been working real hard on our wiki to rid out the template format on the external links of every actors and actress. I've found quite a few of them retired from the entertainment when I read the JP Wiki.

Here's the list of retired tokusatsu actors:
Kimura Takeshi (Sudou Masashi / Scissors on Ryuki): retired on 2006.
Kikuchi Kenzaburou (Kanzaki Shirou on Ryuki): retired on 2007.
Igarashi Shunji (Ultraman Mebius): retired on 2013.
Konno Ayuri (Amy Yuuzuki / KyouryuuPink on Kyouryuuger): retired on 2018.
Ohkuchi Kengo (Zett on Toqger): retired on 2016.
Sato Rika (Eri / GoseiPink on Goseiger): retired on 2011.
Yamanouchi Meibi (Lunagel / Rin on MagiRanger): retired on 2011.
Takahashi Ryuki (Utahoshi Kengo on Fourze): retired on 2016.
Maeyama Takahisa (Sora / Phantom Gremlin on Wizard): initially wanted to take a break from acting on January 2022 due to health issues, but confirmed to retire from acting on June 2022.

I always feel sad about Ohkuchi Kengo retiring, I guess he felt like he wasn't a good actor, even though he was glorious as Zett

Before Toqger, he played Oda Nobunaga / Armored Warrior Kaijin on Movie Taisen Core. He did his best, but still didn't bring out his best performance for recognition so that's why he stayed on average roles until he's fed up as an actor.

I just found another three:
Nakayama Erina (Misa / Phantom Medusa on Wizard): retired on 2019.
Maehara Kazuki (Ryouma / GingaRed on Gingaman): briefly retired on 2003, but returned on 2010 and then retired again as of 2014.
Iwasaki Hiromi (wife of Yoshida Metal): retired on 2021.

For those of you who loved Ultraman Mebius, take a look at today's Igarashi Shunji after his retirement since 2013.

Yes. Read her profile on the JP wiki page.

Even the actor who played Phantom Gremlin also retired on June 2022.
