Yep, that was pretty much the bullshit ending I expected. Nothing explained. Nothing resolved. More questions rather than any answers. Instead of a climax we get a whimper.

I know I lot of people like this show but I just can't see why. It's a complete mess.

there was basically no way for this ending to be 100% satisfying, given how many plot threads this show has had and the show handled them, but I'm still ok with what we got. definitely could've been worse.

love how the universe just decides Tsubasa and Sononi are permanently fugitives now, I guess, but they still take the time to dress all fancy and join Haruka on stage at her awards thing.

having only seen this raw so far, I'm fully expecting to have misunderstood what was being said about Tarou losing his memory and all, but when they showed Don Momotaro turning black and white, combined with the memory loss, I was half expecting that to turn out to be an explanation about Kaito, too. "team lead turns monochrome, loses all past memories, and just fights as a hero forever."

wonder if they'll actually make the manga available for purchase/do a full adaptation of the series. also, just gonna assume Haruka was told everything she needed to be told for scenes like Tarou and Sonoi's moon chat.

saw they have a trailer out for DonBros vs. Zenkai apparently going to theaters in May, then BD at the end of September. looking forward to finally seeing if that answers ANYTHING after we're already a month or two into the Rider series after Geats.

Since Inoue isn't interest in Zenkaiger, so this movie divides to 3 parts look like Movie VS Rider before Ghost VS Drive.
Part 1 is Zenkaiger (Koumura Junko writes), the others two parts is about Donbrothers and when 2 Sentai team meet (Inoue writes). So Inoue still doesn't want involving Zenkaiger.

Yeah, they announced DonBros vs Zenkai. I know some people were worried there wouldn't be one this year. I dunno, I'm kind of looking forward to it. Donbros and Zenkai have pretty equal levels of wacky energy that might complement each other well? I guess it's too late to do the usual "Here's the first look at King-Ohger" but whatever. I'm sure it'll be super weird watching King-Ohger 3 months in and them being like weirdo noobs in the VS, as usual. It's a Sentai tradition!

I'm gonna miss Donbros, even if nothing got wrapped up at all. I'm reminded of Decade though. Hell, Donbros vs Zenkai is even going for the old Rider crossover 3 part style.

They said there are a Director's Cut version for this final episode and will be released in TTFC. Maybe they will add some scenes in it, compare to TV version. Is this the first Sentai has the Director's Cut for final ep?

For the finale I think so. Gobus did for 15/16, and Kyoryu did for 1-4.

It occurs to me, aren't the Lupinrangers still fugitives? He can go hide with them.

Typical DonBrother fashion, ending things as non-nonsensical as it can get. As messy as the series was, surprisingly, it was still one hell of an entertaining show.

Anyway~

Natsumi choosing to go back to her fulfilled dream instead of facing her current reality kinda reflects how people choose to be happy instead

Tsubasa and Tsuyoshi's will to still play hero despite their situation instill that core moral of the story

Shinichi being monkey for haiku as usual

Haruka after going through the stages of grief was finally actually happy and was able to end the series just like how she started it was really a nice touch. And we get to see Tarou's "rebirth" which despite the reset kinda ended up the same.

Eh, what do you guys mean nothing was resolved? Haruka started the series as a plagiarist, now she's not. The two couples are now with each other. It's a Shakespearan comedy ending. Tarou died, then came back to life like the Jesus that he is. And there was blue guy, gold guy, and they were there too. The only way it could have been more perfect is if Tarou and Sonoi started dating. All's well that ends well.

Alright episode for an entertaining yet non-understandable series. I liked it for what it had to offer, at least.
