Wow, I thought last week was pretty good, but a couple of votes for a 1 and a 2 really dragged the score down
Here we go, the king dance in the show itself. Get out of here Geats! That was a fun opening, and we got to see all the kingdoms royal staff
There's something kinda lame about the power up meaning you have to crown yourself each time
I do love the bgm for when things get intense in this series. But damn it, is this a clip show?
Nkosopa fashion is the worst. This is why I hate cyberpunk genre
Is that true? Have we really seen Yanma control all the Shugods?
Feels like a lot of effort is being put into this clip show though...
Can queen's actress really play the piano? Doesn't look like they cut away or anything? They're clearly filming in the Toei sound recording stage lol
I wonder if it's going to be revealed that all the advisors recognize the Shugoddom guy and are trolling him on purpose
The actors on this show must have fun doing the Kaguragi voice
Okay, Kaguragi just blatantly cheating with his team of ninjas is pretty funny
Morphonya the best
Everyone having the same reaction about missing out on Rita's face
What is this crazy chorus singing during the Gokkan clips?
<~takenoko> is this like the best epsiode of the series so far? the clip show?
Why's duga have an extra eyebrow?
Is Gira illiterate?
After rewatching Shin Kamen Rider, I want lord bee to meet with Wasp-Aug in some universe
Shugoddom looks fucked, how often are they going to get destroyed?
Nice, I never noticed his bug horn backpack in his king form
Are they standing on the edge of Shuggoddom or is everything behind them destroyed
Man... that's a late opening title. It'll probably be the closest title to the preview title in a script I've had in a while
Anyway, I think that's my favorite episode so far. Like, put aside the tedious story and just let the characters be characters enjoying being their goofy character selves and having fun. That's what a Sentai is. Nevermind it being a clip show, this was a real enjoyable experience, and that's why I come to Super Hero Time
Preview
That Yanma Gira scene sure looks a lot like Racles with Vedalia

Is this like... the best clip show ever?
The opening is awesome. Everyone's in it, even Moffun! Petition for Moffun to henshin at least once before the series ended.
It's hilarious watching normally serious characters like Racules, Rita and even Deznarok trying to dance.
Sabas sure can dance at his age. Lamo asking for oxygen at the end.
Duga's job hunting. They went all in on the trying to blend in thing and it's just golden.
Kagurahi's challenge is the best, no one wants to touch Gira's food. Lol @ everyone trying to see Rita's face as well. Maybe there's a Moffun tattoo under that mask...
They pulled all the stops for this episode and just went as wacky as possible. You can tell the actors are having fun as well.
So I accidently paused at this frame. Does it looks like a Goron wearing armor or something

Well, I figured this would be a light episode after having finished that major two-parter. But I have to admit I wasn't expecting them to do a clip show just 21 episodes in. That is quite early, all things considered.
In any case, I'm people are liking this episode. Clip shows are typically a lot of translation work, so I was afraid this would be a slog for the Anon crew.
As for me, meh. It's definitely more inspired than a bare-bones clip show, so credit where credit is due. But it's still a clip show; it's hard to get excited when almost nothing of importance happens.
I did appreciate the subplot with Duga, though. Framing device for exposition aside, ultimately his coming back to Shugoddom where he belongs (and where Gira badly needs him) was a neat little arc. And now Gira has an aide of his own! (sorry, Boshimaru, you're dead!)
And I won't even get in to all the bad color fringing against the green screen.

I had been wondering about that. It wasn't a perfect episode by any means. But given that it was otherwise a plot-heavy episode with plenty of action, I'm curious why anyone would rate it that low. Normally episodes like those score high across the board.
Cyberpunk fashion doesn't have to be bad. But Nkosopa's definitely is. In part because it's not very "punky", since it's a utopia rather than a dystopia.Nkosopa fashion is the worst. This is why I hate cyberpunk genre
I think you misunderstood something. He rebuilt the controls for all of the Shugods. The only people we've seen control all of the shugods are Gira and Jeremie. (As an aside, I don't imagine they'll ever tell how how the OG kings controlled the shugods 2000 years ago sans electronics)Is that true? Have we really seen Yanma control all the Shugods?
I'm wondering the same thing. It looked very convincing, and while I'm not 100% sold (because there are ways to fake these things), I'm thinking it was more likely than not a real performance. Can queen's actress really play the piano? It is 100% on brand for him, that's for sure.Okay, Kaguragi just blatantly cheating with his team of ninjas is pretty funny

It's a leftover from his Ishabaana interview. If you look closely, he doesn't take off his makeup before going to the Tofu interview; and after that, he's immediately hauled off to Gokkan. Why's duga have an extra eyebrow?
They do seem to be the place most often attacked by the bugs. Which makes Racles' calm demeanor during all of this all the more surprising.Shugoddom looks fucked, how often are they going to get destroyed?
Everything behind them is destroyed. General Big Show devastated a large part of the town square, it seems. Are they standing on the edge of Shuggoddom or is everything behind them destroyed

That's the kind of one-liners that could get you a gig as an action hero. "Sorry, you're dead
ooh. I noticed the lipstick but didn't catch the eyebrow

rip shugoddom. more like shugoddamned

Wow. They get another 5 star from me. And this was a clip show to boot. I gotta say i do believe this was the best clip show in all of sentai.
I really hope that aide stays true to Shugodom. It'd be so sad if it was yet another Skrull.
Very good episode. Again where ever the people are that sub this show, i thank them for their efforts. It really looked like alot of work this week.

I knew she played it. It'd make sense since they'd probably pick a skill the actor(s) would actually be good at
