Wow Sara looks different. Also, I'm going to keep saying this, because it's true, but Sara's death isn't Buffa's fault. I also can't believe they took a break at this point of the story, because last time's was quite the stopping point

At least they're giving Neon interesting things to wear. I kind of wish there was a Tsumuri that wore an all white version of her outfit.

I dislike that the future people are just giving up their spark like it's nothing. You guys need that... don't you?

Hahaha, Keiwa runs away with his sister. He can't even bother to pick up Buffa. Some grudges don't go away from even nominal good guys

Really liking Kekera's moves in this fight. Also, enjoyed Tycoon throwing him earlier. Feel like you don't see that kind of aggressive move in toku very much (probably very damaging to the suits)

Oh, I ddin't appreciate before that Kekera's orb mines look like forg eggs

Kekera is doing the Kekera pose even as he's dying or having his energy drained

Did they bring in a new fight choreographer? Some dynamic fights this time with Ace and Jitto too

lol at ghost Sueru. That's kind of a cool effect

They should have adopted black Tsumuri when they had the chance

The eye motif in this series is pretty fun

Oh, that last bit of the preview is another call back to the opening. Very nice tease! What a fun series this has been

i'm seriously a bit confused though.. did i miss something? like where is Dark Gates? i rememeber him showing up at the end of an episode like it was a big thing.

It is interesting that the episode titled "A True Kamen Rider" is the first 9th (IX) episode in an arc.

So Sueru's Gazer from is basically the original, but with those red accents added, and his Zillion Driver form is the same as Jitto's, but with those same red accents split open to make another eye.

Also, the amount of reused suit and weapon props for this series seems to be higher than normal. The reworked Assault Wolf armor isn't bad, but it does stick out in that regard.

Is "Zillion" supposed to be in reference to the wishing theme what with it being a made up number beyond million, billion, and trillion?

Mela, Cross Geats as he's called, and Melo are from the movie that came out right after that episode though it doesn't make sense continuity-wise (not that that's new to the franchise) since it supposedly takes place after the episode, and he gets that form during the movie.

Same as any most other times there isn't an explanation given for not using stronger forms. If it's not to save energy, which isn't likely the case here since Premium Kekera's proven to be an issue, then it's semantics.

Thematically. using his default buckle/form first and then using his Final Form when the conversation clarifies his resolve and new mindset (signified by the eyes going red), is both thematic for the story and process the character puts themself through to sort things out.

Lot of callbacks in this and the next episode to the Opening and earlier episodes.

One of them being Tsumuri doing Ichigo's Henshin for new Riders to transform (as in episode 2) after the ending of this episode mirrors the ending of the first episode with her going around recruiting them.

Also, that group of civilians seems a lot like the one from the bus Keiwa was a part of for that mansion game he ended up joining.

The salaryman is played by Tsurumori Hisahiro. Gorouge from King is played by Yagi Kotaro

The henshin itself was a bit different, but the form now has red eyes like Ninja, rather than the black ones it's had til now.

When Keiwa thanked Kekera, Kekera's reaction was "Would you look at that!". Kekera realized that, for all intents and purposes, Keiwa did become a real Kamen Rider.

Lamo, Sara had unintentionally recruited a boys band bodyguards. Keiwa, Michinaga and Daichi will all give their lives to protect her.

Ace's plot line got overshadowed here. I was more invested in Keiwa's plotline than the new Rider debut and the subsequence fight.

And we're now distinctly into the "all the bad guys get killed" phase of a Kamen Rider series. With only 3 episodes to go, there's a lot of slate that needs clearing before the finale.

I'm not sure how Keiwa was getting humiliated at any point (who's going to fault you for standing up to evil and losing?). But, eh. At least we got a good rider kick out of it.

I mean, Kekera kept engineering tragedy to happen to Keiwa's sister to get him to do what he wanted. Maybe he thought he could get the same effect from this family? (Are they a family, or just a random group of people Kekera kidnapped?) I guess he was planning on Keiwa failing and then spiraling into his emo phase again

Probably something like that since his whole thing is word peace and Kekera was focused on his "progression" as a Kamen Rider so having him fail to save even a few people (and leave the world without any more Riders) was probably meant to be a tragic ending for him.

Here's a little end of run essay.
Geats has a element that's a parallel of how the TOEI staff works internally.
Keeping a behemoth like KR, hell, Super Saturday rolling - means endless toil.
The subplot of the audience manipulating & sponsors manipulating the 'product',
- the floating eyes of the "Regard Omega Access" (kinda obvious) the intervention
of fans/sponsors, are the stuff of nightmares of the warhorses working this franchise
internally.
Who doesn't want to be free to create what interests them, but do you think
someone with a title like "corporate design director" (real title of my boss who died of aids)
gets to do anything at all like that? they spend their time killing lower staffers dreams at the
bequest of the money people.
My thesis is this: this subplot has a cry of despair under it.
